American Idol McCreery’s signed guitar benefits JRHS After Prom
Scott McCreery, 2011 American Idol Winner, is showing his support for James River High Schools After-Prom by signing an acoustic guitar. This Epiphone Acoustic Guitar is made by Gibson. It comes with a guitar case, and is being raffled to raise money for this year’s James River After-Prom. Tickets are on sale at all Bank of Fincastle Branches, James River High School, Botetourt Golf & Swim Club, and the following Bank of Botetourt Branches; Troutville, Daleville, Buchanan and Eagle Rock.
Plans are currently in high gear for the 2013 James River After-Prom. The purpose of this event is to provide a safe and exciting place for students after the James River Prom. The JRHS After-Prom relies heavily on corporate donations for businesses throughout the area. In the photo above, Sherry Conrad, (right) After-Prom Treasurer & Parent, accepts the annual donation from Meadwestvaco representative Heather Woody. Meadwestvaco, in Covington, is one of the many businesses who have made annual donations toward this event.
The JRHS After-Prom Committee also welcomes new corporate donors to participate. For more details, you can contact this committee by calling James River High School, or email a representative at JRAfterProm@gmail.com.
