National Weather Service holds free storm spotting presentation in Fincastle April 4

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg, in conjunction with Botetourt County Emergency Services, will be in Fincastle on Thursday April 4th at 7 PM to conduct a free storm spotting and weather safety presentation. This presentation will be held at Community Room of the Fincastle Library, 11 Academy Street, Fincastle.

This entertaining and informative 2 hour presentation is open to the public and any one of any age is welcome to attend. The National Weather Service will discuss how you can ‘read the sky’ to determine what type of severe weather is coming. In addition, important weather safety information will be provided to help protect you and your family from the hazards of severe weather.

If you have ever wanted to be an official storm spotter or are just interested in weather, we encourage you to attend. For more information, visit: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/rnk/Skywarn.html.
