Leigh Harris Clark of Richmond and two of her friends Mark and Keeley Richardson of Blue Ridge will re-open Harris Hall of Antiques, a business that has been closed for almost two decades. The building is located next to Trinity Church of the Brethren at 5016 Roanoke Road in Troutville.
“The first day,” said Clark, “We will open 1-4 p.m. on August 3rd and subsequent weekends.” A couple of appraisers will have a “bring by” and they will tell what something is and estimate it’s worth. An auctioneer from Philadelphia will also be on hand. “Bluegrass music will also be featured,” she said.
Clark, a Fincastle native, is excited about the shop that belonged to her parents Ed and Katherine Harris who are both deceased. “It first opened in 1979,” she said. “It is good to be back.”
