In 2005, Tech alum Charlie Camarda travelled with a smaller Hokie flag along the space shuttle Discovery, STS 114. That was the first return flight after the Columbia exploded. So, where does this stop? Does this mean that all sports teams will put a VT memorial on the uniforms, too? |

Space shuttle to sport Hokie flag
Hokie love is out of this world.
The Space Shuttle Atlantis, STS 117 will carry a Virginia Tech flag on the flight scheduled to launch on Friday.
It's part of a long line of Hokie love among NASA employees.
The VT flag flying this time will be custom-made.

VincentSeven of the eight sentences document VT Flags associated with NASA. Why ask in the last sentence about sports teams putting VT Logos on their uniforms? What does sentence eight have to do with sentences one through seven?

johnIt has to do with people plastering the VT logo all over the place because -- do they really have the right to do so or are they just capitalizing off of tragedy.
