I know you will try to “IGNORE” this sport because it is your 4th team sport behind Bass Fishing, Football, Basketball, all are scholarship sports how sad for you!

Abdnva, I know it must really bother you about UVa’s success in other sports programs when you only have one that has any success at all. Never being ranked #1 in any sport (now that’s INVISIBLE). That must really eat at you.

Ooops, Almost forgot, Tech Nechs did celebrate winning the 2007 Bass Fishing Championship. At least you have 1 in that NC trophy case, now that’s “confusiing”. You’re a typical CHOKIE fan you only pull for the teams that win and the others don’t exist! Better go now I might have a bite, Ha! Ha!

No, Mark, he’s not confusing her at all. He’s just being a typical wahoo jerk. He likes to ignore his loser MBB team, and his loser football team, so he can focus on lacrosse, field hockey, and other invisible sports with limited participation where the hoo’s can suceed.

I think you’re confusing Henrickson with her successor, Beth Dunkenberger. Dunkenberger is the one who was fired by Tech for her lack of success. Henrickson was 158-62 in her Tech career, with seven postseason appearances in her seven seasons. That is why she was a hot commodity. Henrickson got it done at Tech. You are confusing her with Dunkenberger.

Well tell me then.. how is it that she is such a hot commodity if she couldnt get it done at Tech? She was an average coach with a losing record. She by no means was anywhere near the person Debbie Ryan is. It looks like she saw the hand writing on the wall and bolted before she was going to be fired. No great loss for Tech.

Just a couple things for future reference: it is Henrickson, not Hendrickson. And she was hardly pushed out the door. She left of her own choosing, for a much higher-paying job at Kansas. You cannot equate her departure with Debbie Ryan’s at all. Henrickson had put her team in the NCAAs yet again when she left — for a better job. She was a hot commodity that kept getting schools wanting to interview her for their vacancies. Whereas Ryan was shown the door with her program on the decline.
