Hokies 10th in ACC preseason media poll
The ACC preseason media poll is out.
The Hokies are picked 10th, no surprise there.
NC State tops the balllot with 26 first-place votes and 601 points. Duke is 2nd with 21 first-place votes and 589 points.
UNC is third with 520 points (no first-place votes), followed by FSU with six first-place votes and 484 points.
Miami is fifth with 436 points, followed by Maryland (341), UVa (287), Clemson (277), Ga. Tech (189), VT (169), Wake (151) and BC (90).
Erick Green did not make the preseason all-conference team in the media vote. Those who did were C.J. Leslie of State and Michael Snaer of FSU, both with 50 votes out of the 53 ballots cast. James Michael McAdoo of UNC had 41 votes, with Lorenzo Brown of State getting 40 votes and Mason Plumlee of Duke 39 votes.
Leslie was the preseason player of the year, with State’s Rodney Purvis the rookie of the year for the preseason

typo… you mean Miami is fifth, not sixth.
Yeah, my bad. Just fixed it here on the blog, thanks. It was correct in the paper today.
