Marshall Wood has broken foot

Virginia Tech freshman reserve power forward Marshall Wood suffered a broken foot in Saturday’s loss to Georgia Southern. There is no word yet on how many games he will miss. He does not need surgery.

Wood had been struggling with his shooting this year, but coach James Johnson had been pleased with his rebounding and defense. Tech is now down to just seven scholarship players.
