What’s coach Johnson or any of his players supposed to say when you hacks ask them if they are the worst team in the ACC? I sure as heck don’t want to hear my coach or players saying they are the worst even if it is true. Do you think you are the worst writer for the Roanoke times who covers the Hokies?

Like I said before, Green had more help getting off the court then he had on it. Reminded me of the Jordan Gatoraid commercial on TV. Corey Alexandder and the GT coach both said EG should be player of the year. Mike Scott should have had that honor last year and Green will probably get shafted out of it as well. If this team “improves” much more, I might not be able to watch.

Could just pull up the hardwood in the Cassell and put down AstroTurf. Then there would be no need to build a new football practice facility and more money and time could be funneled toward Football.

Hokies All, Talk about DENIAL, I can not believe that coach Johnson actually said, “we are improving!” I have watched VT b’ball since my “Rat Year” in 1959 and yesterday was the worse I have ever seen us play. When we have only one player (Green) who would start for the other team we have little or no chance to win.. Just wait until next year and we will really be super bad without Green’s points.

I pray for Green’s recovery since he has given so much for our team and school.

Another frustrating game to watch…..everyone standing around waiting for Green to do something. He’s a great player, but we all know that Eddie and Raines can score. And we all know that from backyard ball to rec league ball, if you’re not scoring, you’d better find a way to contribute……rebounds/defense. Barksdale and Raines should have 10 rebounds a game

I know he has to say it for his team’s mental approach to the game but this team is not getting better. They’re showing up, putting in a lot of effort but theu aren’t getting better. He wants up tempo and several times last night the man in the middle was there on the fast break and nobody was running the wings. It was one on two or three, doesn’t work. Next year in his recruiting class he needs a point guard, at least one big horse in the middle and shooters. This group reminds me of the gang that couldn’t shoot straight. It’s a shame Green won’t be able to showcase his talents in March Madness. Hopefully the remaining team can forget this over the summer and start fresh with a different mental approach. Instead of playing relaxed they are thinking to much and not letting the game come to them.
