Congrats to Erick Green, next year the Hokies will be a mess, lucky to score 50 points per game.

Congrats to Green, well deserved. I don’t know “the other Tony”, sometimes when things appear to be the darkest, light appears. I’m going to wait and see who shows up at fall practice. The signee from Germany intrigues me. I also understand they may be looking at other foreign players.

Congratulations Erick! Well deserved. I will miss seeing you in a Hokie uniform next season. You are one of the best that has ever worn the uniform. Thanks for your tremendous effort on the court!

#2 TL, Johnson is bringing in five scholarship guys next season and will have seven returning scholarship players, all of whom were recruited while he was on staff, and will have been on the team for a minimum of two years with Johnson.

Any possible claims to – ‘blame the former coach, this guy doesn’t have HIS players yet’, even though practically half the scholarship players will be recruited while he was head coach? That excuse will end this Friday.

Yes, it will be quite interesting…

I put this on A-Mac’s side, will say it here, too – you guys did good!

I didn’t think a player from a last place team would ever make player of the year. He was the player of the year, I just didn’t think he’d get his due.

Here’s my take on it for next year. Larkin becomes the next Erick Green. As long as he sticks around, and I see no reason why he shouldn’t – he’s going to be all Miami has.

same morons voted for green that voted nc state preseason champs.
wow! how many did green score in 2nd halvesof games that were already
over and how many in the 1st halves? tech finished last, how much lower could they have been without him? what a joke. ACC has gone downhill bigtime.

Pre season rankings are meaningless. They are only guesses before a team has even played. However, ACC POY is not a mere guess. It is based on the players accomplishments after he has finished playing his full season. Erick Green played hard the entire game. He is the nations leading scorer after being double and triple teamed for majority of the games. Erick did this in a league that most intelligent people recognize as a tough basketball conference. He deserves this award and no one else in the league came even close to him in votes. It is unfortunate that some feel it necessary to bash a young man who won an award he worked so hard to win just because he doesn’t represent their team.
