Three seemingly obvious questions that remain unanswered all season long…
1. How could Erick Green NOT see this coming? Has he paid so little attention all year? What exactly did he expect today?
2. Will Erick Green ever grasp the concept that leadership involves anything other than pointing the finger at your teammates and telling the press how badly they play?
3. It’s pretty clear that James Johnson doesn’t know how to coach offense, we’ve seen that reinforced in a couple dozen games this season. Wasn’t he pronounced a defensive guru when he was hired? What happened to all that defensive coaching genius that was supposed to be his trademark? He talks a lot and calls out specific players after games for playing poorly, but I have yet to see him ever admit (or pretend) he could have ‘coached them up’ a little better in prepping for the games.
Hey, it’s all good. Let’s see, we’re not supposed to question Jim Weaver, we’re supposed to give Johnson somewhere around a decade to finally stop fielding a losing team, and we’re supposed to get those Hokie Club dues in on an even earlier date every year. Basically, – ‘Shut up and take your whippin’. You ought to be grateful we even give you moldy bread & rank water…’
Yeah, it’s all good…
