Just got No. 400 from Jess, last name not included, who concurs with others that James Pace is the best keyboard player in the area. Other people cited other keyboardists, and that's what we love.
Thanks for reading and interacting.
I'm taking off tomorrow, to get ready for FloydFest, where I'll be blogging right here on this very spot. I'll be driving around tomorrow doing some errands, and it's time for me to catch up on some of the music that promoters have sent me lately. I've got the new Avett Brothers, "The Gleam II," Super Chikan's "Sum Mo' Chikan" and some Sugar Hill compilations of Doc Watson and Ricky Skaggs. Should be a good day for driving!

About this blog

cutNscratch is The Roanoke Times music blog. Music reporter Tad Dickens and features wire editor Ralph Berrier enjoy pickin’ and grinnin’, and they like to write about music, too. They’ll be posting plenty about local, regional and national music, but it won’t be any fun at all if you don’t jump in and have your say. So do it! | Read more about Tad, Ralph and this blog
