Guitar genius Charlie Hunter is coming back to Roanoke

If you’re hip, you’ve seen him play in trio format, a couple years back at Jefferson Center’s Fitzpatrick Hall. Now, see him play with just a drummer, at Kirk Avenue Music Hall.

Yes, Charlie Hunter can play the bass lines while he plays chords and/or lead, on a seven- or eight-string guitar. It’s sick, I tell you.

About this blog

cutNscratch is The Roanoke Times music blog. Music reporter Tad Dickens enjoys pickin' and grinnin' and drummin', and he likes to write about music, too. He'll post plenty about local, regional and national music, but it won't be any fun at all if you don't jump in and have your say. So do it!
