Barefoot West

Roanoke Valley band Barefoot West has a movie gig, thanks to the in-production flick “Lake Effects,” which is shooting at Smith Mountain Lake.

The band has been trying to get some of its music into the movie. Band leader Kyle Forry wrote in an e-mail today that he got a call last night from the assistant production manager, who asked the band to come out on Tuesday to a shoot at Fallon’s Pub & Grill. Forry wrote that he’s still not sure whether his music will make the soundtrack, but the band will definitely be in the movie.

“After four years of playing at the lake for almost every weekend out of the year … it finally paid off.  Haha!” Forry wrote. ” I’m definitely excited, and I hope we get to meet some if not all of the cast!”
