Down by Downtown changes dates, adds venues and adds performers — we have the schedule right here

Down by Downtown‘s second go-round is set for April 13-16, with new downtown Roanoke venues added to the mix, and about 50 acts set to play, with more to come.

Here is the list of venues and performers for every night of the wide-ranging festival. The big day, April 16, coincides with the Blue Ridge Marathon’s second running, and features music from national and local bands on an outdoor stage. That night: Southern Culture on the Skids plays Jefferson Center; brilliant jazz/funk/world act Snarky Puppy plays at Martin’s, with guest drummer Ari Hoenig; and Hope Clayburn plays Blue 5 Restaurant.

Look for more information in the coming days’ editions of The Roanoke Times and roanoke.com
