Music video — The Seed and musical guests, performing “Solid Ground” at Growler’s on Saturday
It’s a given — when onetime Roanoke reggae powerhouse The Seed reunites, it’s going to be a full house and a big party. That was the case on Saturday at Growler’s American Grill, and we’re sure more than a few people wish this happened a lot more often.
Here, the band — Gabe “The Ambassador” Lewis, Brent Hoskins, John “Slothman” Spence and Jay DiCicco — beefed up the lineup for much of the night. Built to Write was in the house. Jamiel Allen spent the entire night on keys. John Hill was on guitar.
On this number, “Solid Ground,” Hoskins grabbed a guitar while Hill’s The Materia Project bandmate Phil Snapp took over the kit. Sounds good.
