You can almost smell the b.o. and Patchouli….crunchy grooves…now where is my SLAYER CD?!?!?!!

The music was unbelievable, worth putting up with any inconvenience and at a fair price! Not the scene for those afraid of dust, sun, portapotties, and getting hugged, though. Sleeping on the ground, doing yoga in the morning, biking and walking around, and dancing all night have left us in better condition. The reassurance that people can get along and love each other recharges me for another year! You can feel the love in thousands of smiles as you pass by, even in the employees faces who are working. The organizer was out there dealing with any stresses personally and working on them then and figuring them out for next time. She rocks!

Thank you to Linda Devito, Rio, Lindsay and the countless others that work so hard to make this festival a success. I am already counting down to next year!!!

Did anyone get any photos of the children’s ukelele classes at Floydfest?

What amazing pics from one of the best festivals I’ve ever been to!
Picture number 9 is of me and my boyfriend and I was wondering if I could get a print.
    Thanks for posting theses pics

About this blog

cutNscratch is The Roanoke Times music blog. Music reporter Tad Dickens enjoys pickin' and grinnin' and drummin', and he likes to write about music, too. He'll post plenty about local, regional and national music, but it won't be any fun at all if you don't jump in and have your say. So do it!
