Joey Barnes (Joseph Matthew Barnes) was born August 13, 1976 in Greensboro, NC.[1] Most widely known for his drumming gig with Daughtry, (2006–2010)[2] Barnes signed with independent label Nascent Republic Records in 2008[3] and has had four releases: Always (2009), Last Request (2009), Change (2009) and a cover of Wham’s single “Last Christmas” (2010).[4] All four releases were recorded at Seawell Studios, just outside of Greensboro.[5] Change was featured on VH1’s top 20 Countdown in January 2010[6] for donating a portion of its proceeds to LA-based charity, NextAid.[7]

Barnes is endorsed by C&C Drums[8] and Paul Reed Smith guitars[9] and is featured on Touchtunes jukeboxes across the country[10] and also Pandora Internet Radio.
