I couldn’t write about this one for the paper, because it was a paying gig for me, but we had some great company last night at Martin’s. Mic Harrison & the High Score opened up for my band, Talk Is Cheap, at Martin’s.

Harrison, who fronts this Knoxville, Tenn., act, is a former member of Scott Miller & the Viceroys (or V-Roys, as copyright law would have it). Harrison is a fine singer/songwriter on his own, and his band rocked. Here they are, playing Harrison’s “Out Of The Blue.”

These fellas rocked it last night. Here’s hoping the band comes back to town so I can actually write about it.

About this blog

cutNscratch is The Roanoke Times music blog. Music reporter Tad Dickens enjoys pickin' and grinnin' and drummin', and he likes to write about music, too. He'll post plenty about local, regional and national music, but it won't be any fun at all if you don't jump in and have your say. So do it!
