Short films, experimental films, features and documentaries are scheduled today and Saturday at the Blue Ridge Film Festival, at Buchanan Theatre, Buchanan. But bluegrass and old-time music will also be part of the bill.

If you aren’t interested in the movies but want to catch the music, tickets are $10, and you can get them at the theater’s box office. The bands will play after all the screenings are done. That means 8 p.m. on both nights.

About this blog

cutNscratch is The Roanoke Times music blog. Music reporter Tad Dickens enjoys pickin' and grinnin' and drummin', and he likes to write about music, too. He'll post plenty about local, regional and national music, but it won't be any fun at all if you don't jump in and have your say. So do it!
