Heads-up on a Tuesday night show — Nate Clendenen hits Martin’s to open for Ben Trout Band

Nate Clendenen, from Ocean City, Md., is a traveling musicians who years ago was in a band with Roanoke rocker Ben Trout. On Tuesday, Clendenen comes to Roanoke to open for his old bandmate at Martin’s Downtown.
Clendenen plays with a couple of bands — the bluegrass-oriented Saltwater Stringband and a rock/country/blues act, The Electric Co. He is returning east, solo, after a five-show run in the Rocky Mountains with the bluegrass band Simpler Times. Clendenen said it will be the first time in years that he and Trout have gotten together for some music.
He’ll start about 10 p.m.
