The Good Lovelies, Jeff Sipe Trio set Floyd dates

The June Bug Center, in Floyd, is bringing shows to town over the next few months, and the lineup looks like a winner.
The Good Lovelies play the Junebug on April 7. The pop/folk/swing/rockabilly trio from Toronto, Canada, are all women but take pains to inform people that they are not a “run of the mill ‘all-girl’ band.” I don’t know about any of that, but they sure sing sweet and have cool songs. Jeff Sipe Trio is coming to the Bug on June 7. This drummer and his henchmen, Mike Seal and Taylor Lee, played Martin’s Downtown in February, and the band killed it, simple as that. Tickets are not yet listed for this show, but if you like jazz/rock/funk music with a lot of cool twists, get this one on your calendar.
