He liked the column about the Giles County School Board’s Mafia-like tactics in the 10 Commandments case
Ha! Great article Dan. They won’t get it, but they rarely do.
If only there was somewhere they could go to worship….
Anyway, it’s good to know there are people in the media willing to make an attempt to explain this kind of problem to these somewhat scary people.
Thank you,

Dan, Hunnington Beach, CA? wow, I’m impressed.
Note the comparison… Christians=”Scary”
I wonder how that comment would have been taken in the 1950′s?
Yooz guys was learning da Gospel of Christ back in da day! Anti-Christian in America? Fugetabowtit!!
@2 It is not the Christians that are scary, Un Lost – It is people who do not understand the law, the implications and the slippery slope this issue opens up.
Just try the logic of this: No one is saying that students can’t post the 10 commandments on their lockers, pray before the eat and be Christians all day long in how they behave and interact with the universe. It is simply that the school system (as part of the government) cannot condone one religion over another. Hence, if the commandments get posted, which version are you going to post (Catholic or Protestant?), are you going to post from all other faiths including
People need to grow up about this issue…
Grrr…proof reading is not my strong point. Should read “all other faiths including – insert name of whatever religion here including Satanism -?”
History teaches religious zealots who become angry ARE “scary” and more than a little irrational. That is not an indictment of Christians or any other religion, it is a simple and irrefutable fact. Madmen are scary because they are madmen, religious zealots can become madmen. Can anyone deny this? The comments referenced in the plea for anonymity in the Giles case prove it can get scary.
