‘The Valentine’s Day Curse’ — free download through Wednesday

From Amazon.com

The regular on the blog known as Elena has published a short story as an ebook. It’s normally 99 cents but in view of the holiday of love tomorrow, you can download it for free today through Wednesday.

Elena’s a good writer, especially when it comes to rants on her blog, McElenaeous Rants, which can be hilarious.

The intriguing title is “The Valentine’s Day Curse,” and it seems to be about two exes who reconnect some years later.  Nice title, Elena! Here’s the synopsis:

When Lisa’s Valentine’s Day ritual is interrupted by a phone call, she is surprised it’s from someone she hadn’t heard from in many years. What could her ex, Joey, possibly want from her on what could have been their 25th wedding anniversary?

Elena also the author of the e novel, “Fractured Facade,” which another regular here, Sandi Saunders, gave a rave review on Amazon.com.

So enjoy, folks. And thank you, Elena!

  3. Elena is awesome! And her writing is awesome! And it’s awesome that she lives here in the Roanoke VA region! And in honor of her, and in the spirit of her Valentine’s short story, Laker dedicates their homage song “David Sylvian” to her thru Wednesday also.

  4. Downloaded (and thanks for the freebie!!) and read it just this evening. It was great, reminded me of an O Henry. I highly recommend both the short story and her book, if anyone enjoys a good read. Keep at it Elena!
