Handicap today’s election for mayor and win a prize

OK, folks, here we go. Pick the percentages in today’s mayoral race between challenger Mark Lucas and incumbent David Bowers.

You need to make your choices in three digits, such as 49.7.

Just in case there is a tie among contestants, also tell us the total number of votes independent council challenger Brandon Bushnell will take in his election bid.

Your entries should look like this:

Lucas, 50.7

Bowers 49.3

Bushnell, 1,605

Your guesses have to be submitted by 6:30 p.m.

Whoever is closest will win a prize from Dan’s Bookshelf.

This proves you cannot save some people from themselves. As long as Roanoke City has uneducated non-contributing dimbulbs dominating the polls, you people will get more of the same.

I look for the all-Democrat council to suddenly decide maybe the city needs to continue the meals tax after all. Now that all the ballots are counted up and everything.

Congrats to belle! Ithink the people of Roanoke thought back to the last time they elected a Republican as Mayor. It turned out to be a disaster and then launched Ralph Smith into the General Assembly where he continues to haunt the city,(and all of us) every day. In all good conscience they just couldn’t take that chance again.
