A bill, called “Sportsmen’s Heritage Act HR 4089″ is another devious and disingenuously labeled bill by Republicans to do an end run around environmental protection laws. Additionally, this bill would open up publicly preserved wilderness areas all national parks to hunting and encourage the importation of “dead” polar bears – an endangered species by the way. Hoping to dupe “sportsmen” into supporting this bill, along with the NRA membership, this bill was given its dishonest name.
◄opens rare wilderness areas to motors and mining
◄bars the EPA from banning lead in hunting ammunition
◄opens national parks to hunting
◄allows import of endangered polar bear [carcasses] trophies from Alaska
This bill passed the House, and is up for debate in the Senate.

Hillary, thank you for your post. Unfortunately, environmental issues these days attract about as much attention as last weeks page three news. It seems unless we are smacked in the face with an environmental catastrophe ala the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, we assume all is fine with the air we breathe the water we drink, the seas we swim in. I once heard someone say part of the issue with environmental concerns is that most of them are invisible to the naked eye. Were carbon dioxide not a colorless gas and was say red, perhaps the massive accumulation of this red gas in our atmosphere would have a greater impact on us. We don’t see the mercury in the air and water generated by coal powered energy plants, the toxins which leach into groundwater supplies. Even the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (Gyre), which has grown 100 times in 40 years has little impact on our awareness as it is well off our coastline:
http://worldnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/05/09/11612593-study-plastic-in-great-pacific-garbage-patch-increases-100-fold?lite
But those concerned about the environment can be thankful for groups such as the Heartland Institute, a think tank dedicated to discrediting environmental causes. It unveiled billboards linking environmentalists with mass murderers. I’m sure in their sick twisted minds they and a minority believe that to be true, the majority don’t and the ads were pulled:

“Michele Bachmann becomes a Swiss citizen”
With any luck she’ll go on a mission and stay. I wonder if she would have taken this step if she’d been the Tea bagger nominee for president of the U.S. of A.? Maybe its just the rats leaving the sinking ship syndrome…
Or maybe she wants better health care:
“As a citizen of Switzerland, Bachmann can now partake in a healthcare system that is the envy of the world. It has transparent costs, it is consumer driven, and it provides near universal coverage. It also has an individual mandate: all Swiss citizens are required to purchase basic health insurance.”

All in all it’s rather cheeky if you ask me. (Nice way to say crazy eyes is a hypocrite)
“Hoping to dupe “sportsmen” into supporting this bill, along with the NRA membership, this bill was given its dishonest name.”
Just like the “Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act” of 1994 and the “Firearm Owners Protection Act” of 1986, both thinly veiled gun control. How about the “Patriot Act” as a name for the repeal of the Fourth Amendment?
This goes on a lot and it disgusts me, no matter what the issue.
Feeling bold because of their recent victory, nothing will stop the NC Bible-thumpers.

BTW, yesterday’s defeat notwithstanding, extreme conservatives are fighting a culture war – and losing it badly. Look at where we were as a nation 50 years ago, and look where we are today. Interfaith couples, interracial marriages, working women, etc., are all things that have drawn the ire of social conservatives in the past, whereas today they are part of the fabric of our nation. Even NC Republicans admitted that in 20 years their amendment would likely be overturned due to the overwhelming acceptance of homosexuality among younger voters and will-be voters.
So, enjoy your victory conservatives – your time is drawing to an end. Your influence on this great nation’s future will become as relevant as your archaic beliefs.
It’s kind of like watching someone on their death bed make an attempt, however vain as it may be, to control a future that they have no place in.

Bummer.
Gay marriage goes down overwhelmingly in defeat in North Carolina.
I don’t understand. The polls keep saying that tolerance and acceptance of gay marriage are increasing rapidly. Yet it hasn’t passed 1 statewide referendum yet.
North Carolina is now the state where you can marry your cousin, just not your gay cousin.
I guess you could marry your gay cousin in North Carolina, as long as s/he is not the same gender as you.
The Republican Party would do well to listen to Richard Lugar. I voted for him yesterday. I will not vote for Mr. Murdock this fall. Nor will I vote for Jackie Walorski who won the Republican nomination for the congressional district in which I live. I think the Republicans in Indiana yesterday assured the election of my current Congressman, Joe Donnelly. It will be the first time a Democrat has held this Senate seat since Gerald Ford was President.

Virginia Republicans have gone absoltely nuts. The Greene County Republican committee 9located in Robert Hurt’s Congrwssional distric)
Produces a regular newsletter which it emails to area Republicans. The editor of the newsletter is a “patriot” by the name of Ponch McPhee. In the newsletter emailed on May 8, McPhee had an op/ed piece In it he declared : 1. “Obama is a ideologue unlike any that world history has ever witnesed or recognized” and 2″ We shall not have any coarse(sic) but armed revolution should we fail with the power of the vote in November.”
These are the so called leaders of today’s GOP If we don’t kick these extremists out of Congress and state legislatures we are doomed. This is the same stuff we heard from Sharon Angle and the tea party extremists last time. Check out the link and read the rest of the garbage contained in the Greene Co. Republican Committee’s newsletter.

President Obama announces support for same-sex couples right to marry.
Gonna be a lot of pissed-off bigots in this country pretty soon because this discrimination is going to be ended.
“The arc of history bends toward justice.” MLK Jr.
In the WV primary, Obama beat a felon sitting in a Texas Federal prison by a 60-40 margin. The felon won 9 counties. Folks, Obama is in BIG trouble.

This is TOO funny. A Texas inmate got 40% of the Democrat primary vote in West Virginia, proving how unpopular Monkey Boy is. West Virginia is my new favorite state.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2141657/Texas-INMATE-gets-40-cent-votes-Obama-West-Virginia-primary.html
Nobody saw this in the NYT WaPo, CNN or any other outlet, did they? You won’t see it on Jon Stewart. This is the funniest thing the liberal MSM will do their best to bury. You had read a publication from across the ocean to find it.
If it were Bush, or some other Republican, it would have been everywhere.
http://news.bostonherald.com/news/politics/view/20220509liz_brushes_off_trail_of_tears_report/
Uh oh. Looks like Elizabeth Warren’s great great grandfather rounded up Cherokee’s for the infamous “Trail Of Tears.” You can’t even make this stuff up.
Well, well. Say hello to 0bama the Flipper. Now he is FOR gay marriage after being against it. Romney reaffirms his opposition to it looking very steadfast, helping himself with conservatives and independents. BIG win for Romney on this one.
BobH,
Welcome back to the blog you hardly ever read!
Can you name a state where miscegenation passed a statewide referendum?
Uh, I thought not.
Yo, dave, the Roanoke Republican committee has elected a guy who worked for Tripp Godsey’s campaign as chairman. Not only that, but he got so gender defensive about a “women’s movement” in a community theater group he was involved in that he — I swear I am not making this up — created and staged a series — again, I am not making this up — of theatrical performances he called “Cockologues.”
The dude was fired up by that national stage show called “The Vagina Monologues.” So he created a local thing called Cockologues in which guys stood on stage and talked about their penises. Seriously.
Again, I am not making this up.
I was looking at voting stats in NC. If your country voted heavily for Obama rather than the Republicans, chances are that you voted For the amendment.
In particular, Vance, Bladen, Granville and Halifax counties which are heavily Democrat

Suzielies@5:22 PM
As usal Suzie knows not of what she speaks. I saw spots on MSNBC and CNN about the nonsense in West va. Of course she wouldn’t really know since she gets all her “news” from Faux and Rash Limpbutt.
But I’m glad to know that WestVa. is her new favorite state. I find that highly sappropriate ansd strongly suggest that she take up residence there. Keystone or Matewan would provide good environments for her.
“Cockologues”
Congratulations, all he did was create a new perjorative term for his group.

ALEC EXEMPTED FROM LOBBYIST STATUS IN THREE SEPARATE STATES
South Carolina, Indiana and Colorado have all quietly On April 20 Common Cause submitted a whistleblower complaint to the IRS, claiming ALEC is “a corporate lobbying group masquerading as a charity” that promises its donors a tax deduction.
But in three states — South Carolina, Indiana and Colorado [all 18 of CO’s members, are Republican] — it turns out that ALEC has quietly, and by name, been specifically exempted from lobbyist status.
The laws in those states allow ALEC to spend millions annually hosting corporate lobbyists and legislators at three yearly conferences, send “issue alerts” to legislators recommending votes on pending legislation, and draft press releases for legislators to use when pushing ALEC model bills — all without registering as a lobbyist or reporting these expenditures. Legislators can receive scholarships from ALEC’s corporate donors to attend conference events, or they can legally go on the taxpayer dime.
http://www.iwatchnews.org/2012/05/08/8828/alec-exempted-lobbyist-status-three-separate-states
It is important to remember ALEC is almost solely funded by the corrupt and infamous Koch brothers. They buy state and federal government officials who will do their bidding, introduce legislation for their own personal causes (union busting, voter suppression, environmental laws dismantled) and throw millions of dollars to have hand picked individuals win elections [Scott Walker/Wisconsin) .
The best government they can buy.
Say hello to Mitt the flipper, flopper, flipper, reflopper.
In 1994 in his camapign against Ted Kennedy for the Mass. Senate seat he circulated a flier to gay pride groups assuring them that he fully supported equal treatment under the law for all citizens regardless of sexual orientation.
Then as Mass.Governor, when te Mass . Supreme Court ruled that gay marriage was legal and the state couldn’t stop it, Romne stated that he was agaimst gay marriage but that he supported civil unions as an alternative to ensure equal protection under the law to LGBT citizens.
Then in 2005 as soon as he reaslized he would have to pacify the religious right to fulfill his Presidential ambitions, he threw the LGBT community under the bus again and declared his opposition to civil unions.
The guy never sticks to any position he has taken when he reslizes that an opposite position might win him some votes.
Today Obama took a principled stand, even though the result for him mght be a net loss of votes in some key states in a tightly contested race.
He is the one with courage, guts, and leadership skills.
Dan
I will never be surprised by anything that the Godsey/Aldridge insanitea group does. I’m sure this would be one of the guys who would crucify River Laker for taking off his clothes to raise money for a cause. But he’d better be careful. I heard that EW Jackson does not approve of such sacrireligious behavior. They mibght kick himout of the party for indecent behavior and he would lose his protective shield against the UN black helicopters that will be coming for us soon.
Ron@2:56
Now that’s getting too complicated and weird for even me to understand!
Dan
I think aznother Michelle Bachmann contest thread is in order. Something like the top five reasons Michelle Bachmann decided to become a Swiss citizen.
It looks like Bumbling Idiot Biden may have forced 0bama’s hand on gay marriage, a subject he didn’t want to have to address. 0bama has basically kissed goodbye the Catholic voters he hadn’t already alienated on the forced birth control issue. He’s also killed himself with blue-collar religious voters, and even some black voters.
Romney meanwhile doubled down on the opposite position. Again, I like the way this is shaping up.
#22 You mean like in Durham, Henry?
#17 suzie’s new favorite state is one where the bigots REALLY hate the fact that a dark-skinned guy is president. We’re not surprised, suzie.
dave,
Seriously, I cannot imagine EW Jackson performing a Cockologue.
He is the one with courage, guts, and leadership skills.</em?
LMAO @ 'principled' How is 0bama's flip-flop any different than your accusation against Romney?
“Cockologue” brings to mind a bad movie in the late 80′s, early 90′s, starring Griffin Dunne as a man whose penis talked.
35.”“Cockologue” brings to mind a bad movie in the late 80′s, early 90′s, starring Griffin Dunne as a man whose penis talked.”
Yeah? What’d it say!
This stupid new system has cut off four of my posts just in the last hour. The damn captcha code was better than this.
The difference, Suzielies, is that Obama took a stand for what he thought was right, even though the net effect may be to lose him some votes and maybe even have a negative effect on tight races in a couple of key states.
Romney, on the other hand, changes his stands strictly based on the number of votes it will get him that week or that day. And he never has the guts to stand up in front of a group of extremists, like the woman who said Obama should be charged with treason, and stand for what is right and call them out. He might lose a vote if he did.
No guts, no principle, no leadership, whatever it takes to get votes. That’s WillyMitt.
If a same sex couple gets legally married in another state (say, Massachusetts), and they move to NC, are they still married?
#36 It’s been so long ago, that I don’t remember. Let’s just say the movie wasn’t Oscar material.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093240/
And who is now warning us that Obama is assaulting traditional marriage — Rash Limpballs!!
You mean traditional marriage where you get divorced three times and now are on marriage four, Rash?
In fact I’m not sure coming out on the gay marriage issue right now is going to be such a great thing for Obama’s elections chances, but at least he’s finally being honest about it. Anybody who was paying attention already knew this was his position or the position he would eventually come to.
And those who really despise or are afraid of homosexuals really don’t want civil unions, either, and Romney is in favor of that.
Obama certainly stole the national stage yesterday. Good for him…finally.
Hey Switzerland…NO BACKSIES!!
Dan, are the tech people going to do anything to make the new system ipad compatible?
#34 most ill-informed. There is a distinct difference between flip-flopping / blowing in the wind/ on both sides of the fence and EVOLVING…nothing you would no about…so just move along
last post, no = know.
When I was a child in school,we said the Pledge of Allegiance every morning. Of course, being a child I didn’t understand that “liberty and justice for all” excluded women, minorities, and gays and lesbians.
President Obama took a step to rectify that yesterday.
Although Dick Cheney came out in favor of gay rights, he only did that after he left office – courageous? No, however, the President did it while still in the proverbial “kitchen” to take the heat. Courageous? You betcha…
And now, bring in the clowns…
Anybody who was paying attention already knew this was his position
So in other words, he’s been lying up to now. Got it.
The great thing 0bama’s political ploy is going to do what Mitt Romney couldn’t; galvanize religious conservatives. The Mormon issue for fundamentalists just went bye-bye.
I was very proud of the President yesterday and happy for all our many gay and lesbian Americans.
@46- I’ll say it again as I did in the Blue Ridge Caucus, I applaud the President for his action yesterday, but actions speak louder than words, and it’s that I will hold him to. It’s no closer today than it was two days ago to equality. It all seemed calculated and orchestrated to me, from Biden’s remarks to the NC vote, to his interview the day after.
#40 I don’t think I’ll be adding that one to my queue.
#47 suzie once again uses only part of what I said and so therefore turns into another one of her lies.
Gdad
If Idiot Boy has said in the past he opposes gay marriage, why would anybody “see” he was going to change his mind if they didn’t suspect he was lying all along?
You wingnuts couldn’t be honest if your lives depended on it. Everybody knows his newfound “opinion” is ploy he thinks will help him with his leftwing fringe donors and supporters.
Bammy’s rich Hollywood buddies threatened his wallet so Bammy had to cave.
I love the evolving line. Every time Romoney flips, I’m going to say he evolved.
#53 He said his opinion was evolving. If you look at his comments, they’ve been slowly changing. Even right-wing Fox News has a timeline of how he’s been moving toward it all along. Do your homework for once instead of just spouting nonsense.
Oh, that’s right, dolts like you couldn’t be honest if your life depended on it.
I didn’t know whether or not the GLBT community would even care what he said, but after reading a bunch and hearing quotes on the radio, even as a symbolic act it was very important to them.
Romney loses the anti-gay vote by advocating civil unions. If he wanted that group he’d just go around saying that they’re all going to hell.
This is not a new video, but if there is one example that shows what a truly vicious and mean person David Letterman is, it’s this interview. Not many people could make people side with Paris HIlton, but Letterman did.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV3BfrHA9H4
There is a lot of hatred and anger behind his veneer of funnyman. Letterman just wouldn’t let it go. If I were Paris, I would simply got up and left. Or I would have turned it back on the liberal hypocrite “So David, tell us about those women you sexually harassed….”
#57 “Or I would have turned it back on the liberal hypocrite “So David, tell us about those women you sexually harassed….”
Of course you would have, suzie, IF you were a mind reader or had super secret inside info. This interview was in 2007. Harassment revelations were in 2009.
Dolt.
LOL Henry, then people will think you stutter!
Does anyone else catch the irony in a FlimFlambaugh lover dissing Letterman for being “truly vicious and mean”? Or the rich irony in a conservative defending the epitome of vapid self-indulgence and infamy that is Paris Hilton?
This comment has now been trashed twice in a row by this new system
gdad
Are you saying that Romney supports civil unions.? He took that position in Mass. when that states’ Supreme Court ruled that the state could not ban gay marriages. Romney proposed civil unions as a legal alternative that he would support while protecting the “sanctity of marriage”. He has since flipped again on that issue and now opposes civil unions just as strongly as he opposes gay marriage. This was done to shore up his support among the religious extremists who now control the Republican Party.
“Bammy”? Seriously? Henry, you appear to be “evolving” into pammy.
Letterman is an angry man. I doubt he’d disagree with that characterization. He’s brilliant, and funny, but he has a mean streak a mile wide.
The latest Republican Senate candidate from Indiana at his best.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/plum-line/post/richard-mourdock-and-the-gops-idea-of-bipartisanship/2012/05/09/gIQAoaQ8CU_blog.html?hpid=z8
Letterman was hilarious in that interview with Paris Hilton. And he wasn’t mean at all. Anyone who claims he was simply has no understanding of entertainment.
Mitt’s idea of the kind of job growth we should be experiencing is a lot like him. Out of touch with reality.
“Governor Romney was comparing today’s anemic recovery to robust recoveries of the past,” said Romney senior adviser Eric Fehrnstrom. “Government data indicates that 500,000 jobs per month is not an unreasonable expectation. We’re not willing to accept high unemployment and weak monthly jobs numbers as the new normal.”
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/post/mitt-romneys-new-normal-for-job-creation/2012/05/08/gIQAybrABU_blog.html?hpid=z2
I didn’t watch that particular video, Dan, but his humor makes me cringe sometimes. Leno isn’t considered as high brow but I always feel like he genuinely wants the best for his guests even when questioning them closely (his post-hooker spot with Hugh Grant comes to mind) whereas I always feel like Letterman would be perfectly happy to see his guests cry. He just doesn’t strike me as a happy guy.
Kristen,
Letterman doesn’t make her cry. She got booked on his show so she could promote her (then) new perfume line, so she was essentially using him. He decided to use her for some laugh, and asked her specific questions about her recent stint in jail. And then she quit answering the questions, so he opened up her new perfume — and drank it. It was funny, which is the goal of an entertainer.
I am not sure that the President will lose any votes on his marriage equality stance. Whose votes did he actually lose? The Obama-haters? The OWS-haters? The gay-haters?
The religious-right? The teabaggers? The racists? Most of those who will go ballistic would not have voted for him anyway. This wedge has lost its edge…
“Henry says:
I love the evolving line. Every time Romoney flips, I’m going to say he evolved.”
Henry will be saying that a lot, then. Perhaps we should incorporate it into our Donation Game and send the money to LGBT groups.
Uh-oh…there is something seriously wrong in the universe…a Fox-bot tells the truth ON AIR!
Speaking shortly after President Obama announced his endorsement of same-sex marriage, Fox News anchor Shepard Smith suggested that Republicans were on “the wrong side of history” when it comes to the issue.
“I am curious whether you believe in this time of rising debt and medical issues and all the rest, if Republicans would go out on a limb and try to make this a campaign issue while sitting very firmly without much question on the wrong side of history,” he asked reporter Ed Henry.
http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entries/shep-smith-gop-is-on-wrong-side-of
President Obama plays politics very well on the gay marriage issue UTR.
To follow the Biden remark, the vote, the POTUS “historic Evolving endorsement,” now, Candidate Romney was a bully in high school per the WAPO story the day after this historic endorsement. Completely scripted out, but the problem with all this is the “Great Uniter” has really been the great “Great Divider” and this doesn’t do anything but hurt the President IMO.
It’s not like he crushed McCain in 08.
Don’t tell me that Mitt Romney was a high school bully who lead a pack of prep-school silver-spooners in a vicious hair-cutting attack on a classmate who might have been gay. I bet he was proud of that. Funny he doesn’t remember it. All of his classmates certainly do and with regret!
Yes Dan, I read that and it is not pretty. Vanity Fair has some eye-opening stuff from his days as a Bishop too.
http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/2012/02/mitt-romney-201202
He is not a nice man, to say the least.
Oh joy here we go again with the massive left wing conspiracy theories…projection.
#73 You know it happened in 1965, right? And Obama admitted in his book to shoving a girl? and eating a dog? What was Obama doing when he was in high school? Oh yeah. Weed
#72 Comment by mattyr “Great Uniter” has really been the great “Great Divider” and this doesn’t do anything but hurt the President IMO. ”
You are factually incorrect to put the “uniter”tag on President Obama. That was the make-believe slogan of the warmongering President, George W. Bush:
Thursday, May 6, 1999 12:00 PM EDT
“I’m a uniter, not a divider”, George W. Bush talks with David Horowitz
http://www.salon.com/1999/05/06/bush_2/
I haven’t watched Letterman in years, but used to watch him faithfully when his show first started. I loved him but also believed that he would give a lead life jacket to a drowning man. That was years ago though.
Romney’s bullying was a terrible thing, no doubt. It also happened 50 years ago.
#76 Henry posted “…and eating a dog?”
What is your obsession with this phrase? How many times must you repeat this stupidity? Get over it – I am sure you have eaten “Mary’s little lamb”, and “chicken little” too! Good grief, enough already.
He was a child who ate what was provided him … enough said. I notice you defended Romney by saying his bullying transgression was in 1965 – little biased, no?
#76 and BTW Henry, Romney was 18 years old when he attacked and cut off the hair of a fellow student, that is not a child’s prank. He should have been charged with assault.
Maybe we should give Romney the benefit of the doubt. From reading that Post story, it seems clear that the mere presence of a guy who might be gay was driving him stark raving mad and giving him anxiety attacks. No doubt he say the attack and forceful haircut as self defense.
I remain struck by the later-breaking news that he’s apologizing for it even though he doesn’t remember it. Why is his memory so bad, compared to his classmates’? I hope it’s not dementia or anything.
Wilfully selective memory loss. I would think that you would never forget committing such an act.
I have no doubt that Mitt Romney would eat dog meat if the conservatives told him to.
I think the same NYT reporter should do a story on Monkey Boy’s lost years of high school when he was a self-admitted “enthusiastic” drug user, skipped a lot of classes and drank a lot of beer. That sounds far worse than whatever prank Romney supposedly did.
But of course the leftwing media will never dig when it comes to 0bama.
76 “and BTW Henry, Romney was 18 years old when he attacked and cut off the hair of a fellow student, that is not a child’s prank. He should have been charged with assault.”
Not at all defending the behavior, but everything is such a bigger deal with the coddled kids of today. There is NO chance that assault charges would have been filed for that happening when we were kids.
Letterman was hilarious in that interview with Paris Hilton. And he wasn’t mean at all. Anyone who claims he was simply has no understanding of entertainment.
No, he crossed a line, and even the audienc knew it. That’s why they applauded loudly when Paris said it was time to change the subject. Letterman was OK had he asked one or two questions about her jail experience. But he tried to humiliate her by going on and on, even after she politely asked him to stop. Leno doesn’t do that. Carson wouldn’t have done it.
Kristen is right. Jay Leno doesn’t carry the hatred Letterman does. You get the feeling Leno is actually a nice guy whereas Letterman is a pig. Letterman has had a live-in, a child with yet another woman, and numerous affairs. Leno has been married to the same woman for decades. Letterman is outspokenly liberal; Leno is favored by conservatives. It’s the classic good-guy conservative vs. bad guy liberal situation we’ve all seen hundreds of times.
Now Henry, who wasn’t there, is questioning whether it happened at all, despite 4 on-the-record sources who were there. I guess he believes all of them are lying, and only Henry knows the truth!
“a self-admitted “enthusiastic” drug user,…”
Hurt himself
“…skipped a lot of classes…”
Hurt himself
“…and drank a lot of beer.”
Hurt himself
“That sounds far worse than whatever prank Romney supposedly did.”
That hurt someone else.
Some conservatives just think like children.
At least Obama remembered what he did in high school, unlike Mitt.
I wonder what else Mitt can’t remember from his day at the prep school on the lake.
“But he tried to humiliate her by going on and on”
Quote from Suzie
Sound like asnybody else we know of lately? Of course not! Rush barely mentioned Sandra Fluke’s name one time on his radio inquisition.
The person who sources the story says he didn’t actually witness the event. I can see how a Washington Post reporter would find that irrelevant. Their witness didn’t even see it happen.
Excellent point John Wilburn #89.
#80 You have to realize, Hillary, that Henry has nothing more than this empty stupidity. Unfortunately, this is about as smart as Henry gets.
#85 Forcibly cutting the hair off a guy who scares you because you think he’s gay is a “prank” in suzie’s world. Way to go homophobe troll suzie.
#87 And don’t forget that suzie would have asked Letterman about the harassment — even though the harassment wasn’t known to the public at the time. Amazing.
There are 5 different witnesses who all corroborated the story Henry, but you knew that.
Henry, next time you want to take someone to task for their lame support of a bad thing…don’t. You just cornered the market.
Letterman didn’t harass anyone, he was blackmailed. I don’t watch Leno because he;s a stark, raving wingnut that gives a platform to clowns like Rumsfeld. BTW, this new password system sucks out loud.
Laugh of the day: Limbaugh launches facebook “Rush Babes for America.”
Now, you tell me without laughing your arse off this guy is carrying a full deck…
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/cutline/rush-babes-america-limbaugh-launches-facebook-campaign-conservative-144351284.html
The end is near.
Things that make you go Huh?
I wonder what the difference between a dark blue state and say, a blue state is?
Things that give you hope:
“West Virginia is my new favorite state”
So when are you moving?
Difference between bullies Letterman and Romney?
One bully wants to be president of the United States.
I’m sure Amanda Pflugard will be prominently featureed among Rush’s babes.
Of course, the Suz would never send him a picture of herself.
#80 You have to realize, Hillary, that Henry has nothing more than this empty stupidity. Unfortunately, this is about as smart as Henry gets.
This is a personal attack against Henry who never goes personal. So typical of leftwingers in here. Same with Sharon. She stays with the facts, but the leftwingers throw every insult in the book at her.
And then you look at which side constantly gripes how they are mistreated and how other members should be banned.
#85 Forcibly cutting the hair off a guy who scares you because you think he’s gay is a “prank” in suzie’s world. Way to go homophobe troll suzie.
Wow. Now leftwingers can divine what Romney thought. Apparently this guy isn’t even gay, or they’d be saying he was.
Could any accusation be more flimsy and ridiculous? Yet a major newspapers eight pages about it. This is leftwing “journalism”.
I want to know more about 0bama’s heavy cocaine use, his lost high school days “enthusiastically” doing drugs and alcohol, and skipping school. All these things are facts that Monkey Boy himself admits. Let’s dig deeper, Interview the folks he did these things with. Real journalists would do that.
Maybe Dan could get this ball rolling. It might mean saying goodbye to future awards, but being a real journalist means being courageous and digging for the truth.
#87 And don’t forget that suzie would have asked Letterman about the harassment — even though the harassment wasn’t known to the public at the time. Amazing.
Gdad is saying Letterman’s sexual abuse of employees didn’t happen before 2007. How does he know that? How does he know Paris didn’t know that?
And notice…not a peep about the Wisconsin state capitol thing since I linked the MSM story LOL.
“a self-admitted “enthusiastic” drug user,…”
Hurt himself
And a lot of others.
Anyone who uses illegal drugs enables a long path of “harm” to a lot of people. Drug cartels kill people. The addictive garbage they supply destroys lives, families, and neighborhoods. It turns people into violent criminals and thieves. 0bama contributed “enthusiastically” to the harm of others with his heavy drug use which included cocaine. People who would allow an SOB like this into high office prove they have very bad judgment. The rest of us knew he would be a disaster just on character issues alone. And surprise, surprise. We were right.
And Obama admitted in his book to shoving a girl?
I didn’t realize that. I guess that was the beginning of his war on women. Now he’s forcing Catholic girls to pay for birth control for everyone else, and keeping jobs awa from poor single women with children. 2-3 million net jobs lost since he took office. This is a man who clearly hates women.
OK Kids. Time to ride my purple Schwinn purchased 16 years ago from Cardinal Bicycle (a fact that the “riders” in here couldn’t dispute despite being openly challenged to do so).
Imagine that. A bike shop selling the most famous name in bikes.
#106 Wow, I really got under troll suzie’s skin pointing out that she tried to convince folks on the blog of the lie that painters tape had done $7 million in damages to marble at the Wisconsin state capitol. She keeps bringing it up now.
#106 Let me help you out since you obviously haven’t the ability to understand by yourself. You claimed that had you been on Letterman’s show in 2007 you would have asked him his “harassment” of women. I simply pointed out what everybody but you seemed to have known — revelations about the “harassment” weren’t made public until 2009 when one of the women tried to blackmail Letterman. I just wondered whether you had ESP or some sort of secret inside info that allowed you to know about it in 2007.
Let’s analyze a Suzie post:
“Anyone who uses illegal drugs enables a long path of “harm” to a lot of people….”
Get off that slippery slope, it makes you look like a Democrat!
“Drug cartels kill people.”
With ATF supplied guns.
“The addictive garbage they [drug cartels] supply destroys lives, families, and neighborhoods. It turns people into violent criminals and thieves.”
So does religion, but we don’t dare restrict that.
“0bama contributed “enthusiastically” to the harm of others with his heavy drug use which included cocaine.”
Give me a shred of proof.
“People who would allow an SOB like this into high office prove they have very bad judgment.”
Agreed.
“The rest of us knew he would be a disaster just on character issues alone.”
I knew he would be a disaster, character issues ASIDE. That’s a bass-ackwards argument. He’s a whole pile of wrong, but on the surface at least, I haven’t seen PERSONAL character issues, just enormous political ones, like lack of real leadership, mismanaging a true debt crisis, allowing an out-of-control federal government to grab more power at every turn, etc. Hey, it’s a big deal these days that he DOESN’T cheat on his wife. That much I’ll give him credit for.
“And surprise, surprise. We were right.”
It’s no coincidence you borrow Gomer Pyle’s tag line.
Last week it was 3.8 million jobs lost by Obama. A few days later it was 3 million net jobs lost by Obama. Now its “2 to 3″ million net jobs lost by Obama. And yet at this point there are over 400000 more Americans employed than there were when GWB left office. And when GWB left office the number of Americans employed was down by 3.5 million from the number 3 years earlier. Make up any numbers you want out of your head suzielies
because we all know none of them will be true.
“Let’s analyze a Suzie post:”
Let’s not and say we did. Butch just make crap up, ignore it.
John Wilburn crack analyst, why don’t you tell us what Obama could have done to show you “real leadership”? What could he have done that you would not view as “mismanaging a true debt crisis”? What has he done that made you know, BEFORE or NOW, that he was “allowing an out-of-control federal government to grab more power”? Prove your platitudes.

Depends upon the source because it’s flluid, but there is NO disagreement on Monkey Boy losing 2 million net jobs minimum. And this is after $2 trillion dollars spent. Somebody should be going to prison for a long time.
Oh, Sandi. Obama should absolutely have SLASHED federal spending. McCain said he wanted to “take a hatchet” to the federal budget. That man, who in 30 years in the senate, has never taken an earmark would surely have done that. Obama won’t give up those purchased votes. That is mismanagement and a failure of leadership in a nation up to its eyeballs in debt. His lavish parties and galas upon inaguration were over the top and in the face of a nation full of struggling people. It would have been much classier and more respectable to have toned it down, but that’s not his style.
Here’s a link that you’ll grenade over because it features Cooch, but it is right. I hope NDAA is on their list too:

John Wilburn,
The Examiner is not a real paper. It’s a fake paper. It’s full of lies and written by poseurs who commit ethical outrages, such as writing in third person, about themselves, as if they were witnesses to events when they actually weren’t even there.
Yeah, it was an OMG source and knew it would cause a ruckus, but I didn’t care. It does make a good point, though, even if written in the over-the-top way that sometimes the NRA and NAGR are sometimes guity of.
Of course we could ask “Al” or Dublin Dawg” who has more credibility and they’d give different answers still.
Oh yeah, that did it. Someone tell me why I bother?
120.”Oh yeah, that did it. Someone tell me why I bother?”
Because you love arguing.
Butch just make crap up
Starting early, aintcha ace?
No John Wilburn, I love to discuss and debate. That is not possible with people like Suzie, Sharon N et al and increasingly, you. This blog has become a game of “whack a liberal” with you all just taking turns. Nonsense, lies, misinformation and bile are all that anyone can find here from an increasingly unhinged right wing and since you take on Sharon AND me, I’d say the evidence is clear that you are ONLY here to argue. If I can’t beat them, I join them, that is true, but it is not what I want.
We should all join him Suzie, drinking heavily is bound to make you less despicable and this blog more bearable.
“crack analyst”
Or as Butch calls it, “working from home.”
Sandi on her love of arguing:
123.”No John Wilburn, I love to discuss and debate. That is not possible with people like Suzie, Sharon N et al and increasingly, you.”
But Sandi, don’t you NEED a different opinion to debate? With your lefty and authoritarian beliefs, you NEED conservatives and libertarians to go off on whether you realize it or not.
Only if we are the ones doing the drinking Sandi…..
