Hey Dan, do you have a link to a review from anyone from the Roanoke Times for the Seinfeld show? I can’t find one on-line. Thanks!
Elena, I was out of town. Didn’t see a review, if the paper had one.
But I did read this one.
Ha! Not for nothing, whether you like Seinfeld or not, he is a pretty big name and the Roanoke Times should have had someone cover the show instead of sending everyone to Floydfest. They could have hired me, LOL!
Elena, did Seinfeld sell the place out? If not, how full would you estimate the joint was, percentage-wise?
I can’t believe someone asked him if he ever “did” Elaine. That’s going to wind up in his routine, and Roanoke will be the butt of that joke.
I also can’t believe he dodged the question that way.
No dodge, he did say in “real life” he didn’t…sorta on the lines, “you don’t sh&t where you eat.” As far as I could see, it was pretty packed, but not sold out. I’m sure the RCC could give you actual numbers. I’m not good at judging.
Speaking of buying Tickets. You know what I’m going to buy tickets for? September 14th tickets go on sale for Bruce Springsteen in Charlottesville. Saw him in DC for my birthday, and it was a spectacular show. Looking forward to having him play here in town!!
It’s amazing what kind of acts this little tiny town brings in. So glad I moved here!
The place was pretty full, couldn’t see up top, as to balcony sales, but, as always, Jerry was a funny as anybody on the planet.
And, Dan, every show somebody asks, in the ‘encore’ Q&A session if he did Elaine. Pretty standard stuff – was asked last time he was here.
New Romney ad. Yet again, simple, classic, focused. Well done.

Uh oh… nobama is going after Iran now… just days AFTER Romney issued them a warning. Nothing like playing second fiddle huh, nobama??
Haven’t seen him in years, but Springsteen always put on a fantastic show. I’m hoping The Who’s Quadrophenia tour comes close to us.

The decision to invade Iraq…the greatest decision of the century?
Psst….someone needs to tell this assclown that the “century” is only 12% over. Oh, and that the decision to invade Iraq is universally acknowledged as the dumbest in probably 2 centuries.
This is the sort of brain power that infested the Bush administration. Between this and Cheney coming out of his box last week to croak whatever hate he can still muster…someone on the GOP side must want to see Obama win.
It would be nice if the US swim coach would stick a sock in it and stop accusing that 16yo Chinese girl of doping maybe until, I dunno…she doesn’t pass a drug test? It makes the US look petty and jealous, and I’m surprised the Olympic committee can’t issue penalties for putting that kind of crap out in public.
