Susan and Robb Lipes, owners of the 7-Eleven at 2127 Crystal Spring Avenue, posted a sign on the front door of the store after a couple stole a life-size cardboard cutout of “The Most Interesting Man in the World,” Jonathan Goldsmith, 73, a self-described, “Russian Jew from New York” who is a star actor featured in Dos Equis commercials. The crime occurred on Friday night at 9:30 p.m.. The display was to be given as a prize to a donor of a MDA fundraising campaign at the store. Dos Equis sent the Lipes a replacement on Wednesday morning.

Can you get the pictures from the cops? That way we don’t have to rely on the TV stations to run this story.

About this blog

Metro Columnist Dan Casey knows a little bit about a lot of things but not a heck of a lot about most things. That doesn't keep him from writing about them, however. So keep him honest!

He welcomes your rants, raves and considered opinions, so long as the language is civil (i.e. no four-letter words). He'll read all your posts and may or may not respond.
