Bonus Friday tune: ‘Mortal Man’ from The Persuasions
The lead singer for this (and in almost all of The Persuasions other recordings) was Jerry Lawson, who left the band in 2003. The group isn’t the same without him.

Dan, these songs are wonderful! I had heard of the Persuasions, but wasn’t familiar with their music. How could I have missed out? I love this kind of music.
Sort of along the same lines, a few years ago, I watched (and later bought the DVD) a documentary called ‘Standing In The Shadows of MoTown–The Funk Brothers’. It’s about the studio musicians who played with The Temptations, the Miracles, the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, just to name a few. It’s a very educational and compelling documentary and the music is outstanding!
Thanks for sharing these songs!
If Grandma were really who she said she is, her coming-of-age music would have been from the early-mid 1940s, the big bands.
Romney back up by 7. Pulls even the Gallup. Convention bounce is over.

Now that 0bama has blood on his hands from Libya, it will be interesting to see how these numbers change as he has to answer questions over why he lied about the killings.
#3 I’m still looking for where 13 Suns said any of these groups were her “coming-of-age” music, troll? Why don;t you point it out for us.
However, when Motwon hit, she would have been in her 30s. My MIL and mother both LOVED Motown (and the Beatles, for that matter), and they’re in their 80s. We realize, of course, that you haven’t progressed any in your music tastes since you were in your early teens, but most of the rest of us are different.
You really should quit partying before 5:30 a.m. You might be more coherent.
#4 Romney, of course, is NOT up by 7.
“Lied” about the killings? Of course he didn’t.
Well lookey there, Suzie does know how to offer a link. Please offer the link for your accusations about Obama being warned about the Benghazi attack.
Apparently Gallup and Rasmussen have them tied.

Apparently Romney needs to worry more about the 47% that IS voting for him than the 47% that is not.

Yeah, he did. He said the reason for the killing was the movie and that they were not premeditated. Both are lies.
