I had lunch with my 80 year old Mom and she told me that her next door neighbor, Romney/Ryan supporter, asked her how she could claim to be a Christian and vote for Obama. WTH is this world coming too??

Stephanie Cutter admits 0bama LIED in the debate, says the Romney tax cuts are “not even close to $5 trillion”. But yet the lying SOB 0bama is still out there telling the same lie today.

    http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2012/10/mitt-romneys-trillion-dollar-tax-cut-nobody-talks-about/263198/

The good news for Romney is that his corporate tax plan is mathematically possible. That’s an improvement over the rest of his tax plan, which is decidedly not. The bad news is the math works, but it adds up to a trillion dollar hole, with half of that going to the top 1 percent. Now, the smart money is on Romney trying to Etch A Sketch this, but this is his plan.

    http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2012/08/why-mitt-romneys-tax-plan-just-wont-work/261246/

That’s the problem with running on vague principles and refusing to identify how your tax plan would do what you say it would do. If Romney doesn’t want researchers defining his tax and budget agenda for him, he should go ahead and define his tax and budget agenda.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/post/factchecking-the-first-presidential-debate-of-2012/2012/10/04/9d47934e-0d66-11e2-bb5e-492c0d30bff6_blog.html

The $5 trillion figure comes from the fact that Romney has proposed to cut tax rates by 20 percent and eliminate the estate tax and alternative minimum tax. The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center says that would reduce tax revenue by nearly $500 billion in 2015, or about $5 trillion over 10 years

Until Romney releases his plan to cut tax rates and not lose revenue, the questions will remain.

    #7:
So Jack Welch, who built his reputation by “earnings management” (aka creative accounting), outsourcing, elaborate tax avoidance schemes, and government largesse, thinks the government is managing the jobs number for a particular outcome. If it wasn’t so sadly hypocritical and predictable, it would make me sick to my stomach (as in, sick sigma).

On the plus side, actuarial tables say that like so many of the regressive Rmoney oligarchs and the unrich suckers they manipulate, Welch hasn’t got that many more years to soak GE stockholders with his abusive retirement package.

PP, the ONLY things that have happened since the debate with regard to the national polls are:

    1) Obama lead INCREASED over Romney from 3.1 to 3.2 points in the RCP average
    2) Romney’s so-called “lead” over Obama, as massaged by Unskewedpolls.com continued to slide. Last week it was 7.8 percent. As of Friday it was 2.6 percent. Your guy’s in free-fall, if unskewedpolls.com is correct.

Yep, I loved the woman in Abingdon with her deep Southwest Virginia accent assuring the interviewer that Obama had DEFINITELY fooled with the unemployment numbers because, you know, he can get to anybody and do anything.

Wait, the guy you’re saying is completely ineffectual has this kind of power? Tinfoil Time!!!!

About this blog

Metro Columnist Dan Casey knows a little bit about a lot of things but not a heck of a lot about most things. That doesn't keep him from writing about them, however. So keep him honest!

He welcomes your rants, raves and considered opinions, so long as the language is civil (i.e. no four-letter words). He'll read all your posts and may or may not respond.
