That sure is a lot of non-working, SNAP-TANF queens able to attend the speech in the middle of the day today, huh?

  2. Ron May | October 19, 2012 at 7:48 pm

With all due respect to Pres. Obama, he needs to telling his story and how he plans to govern over the next four years and stop this kind of stuff. I understand the temptation, but he needs to resist.

Here is Richard Clark’s view of Romney on Benghazi

My daughter, who is a consultant in human relations for large sorporations and government entitiies lives in Fairfax and took the day off with her sons to attend this rally. And I guarantee you she is no welfare queen or SNAP user. Those were large numbers of middle to upper middle class, educated women who deplore Romney and the Republican Party’s stand on women’s issues at that meeting. And they were enthusiastic. Northern Va. is going to turn out in large numbers for Obama and Kwine. You can take that to the bank.

  5. Frank | October 19, 2012 at 8:48 pm

soo, what do we call obama’s b.s. on Benghazi? b.s.

  6. Art Hill | October 19, 2012 at 9:00 pm

Absolutely brilliant! It’s not the president that has some ‘splainin to do, Romney/Ryan have different positions twice on any given day. There should be a term for it, I believe bulls%$# is already taken.

  7. gdad | October 19, 2012 at 9:07 pm

    From Richard’s link:

“Why is the attack on Bengahzi being talked about so much? It is not because the Republicans have a long record of caring about embassy security. House Republicans cut $128 million in fiscal year 2011 and an additional $331 million in fiscal year 2012 from what Secretary of State Clinton requested for embassy security.

No, it’s because their polling and focus groups show that voters believe that President Obama has done a very good job fighting terrorists. Therefore, the Rove theory says, you attack Obama on terrorism.”

  8. gdad | October 19, 2012 at 9:13 pm

    #2 Yes, he does.

  9. Contrasuzie | October 19, 2012 at 10:01 pm

    @post #1:

Well, genius, being that the President was speaking at George Mason University, I would venture to guess that all those apparently rather young women behind him are college students.

Great dea! Short, memorable, wiity, and speaks volumes. Ups his likability too.

  11. Marked Man | October 19, 2012 at 10:32 pm

Contrasuzie, where was the last pres. debate held?

  12. Sandi Saunders | October 19, 2012 at 10:46 pm

What does the last debate have to do with your error?

  13. Frank | October 19, 2012 at 11:17 pm

dadgummit, what was THAT?! Oh, yep, it’s that little guy with the pea-shooter again… …saying that fighting terrorism is obama’s…strong suit? Are you serious?

Hey gdad, the reason obama is getting focused attention concerning Benghazi is, well… ohh…, nevermind. I see you have a portable pump and IV hooked up so as to constantly pump the lib kool-aid right into your weak veins, so, there’s NO hope you’d understand anything more than the potus’s own words (although some say he stole them from Jon Stewart…) that the result of the terrorist attack on Benghazi, which caused the tragic deaths of 4 Americans, “was not optimal”.

Yeah, gdad, obama says all that need be said. “Not optimal”.

  14. Art Hill | October 20, 2012 at 12:24 am

i hope some of you watched the ED SHOW last night….he was in a small city in Wisconsin where a plant that Bain Capital had acquired several years ago…..it made hundreds of millions …..had well over a thousand workers…..and now is being HARVESTED and sent …..equipment and all to China……Romney owns $8,000,000 worth of stock in this company…..as claimed on his manipulated 2012 tax return……but in his stump speeches and debate ramblings….he says he loves the middle class and will create millions of jobs….he is a liar of the worst kind….who will say anything to get a vote……no honor at all

  18. Contrasuzie | October 20, 2012 at 6:56 am

All three debates were/will be held at universities. What’s that got to do with the price of tea in China, Marked?

  19. Alfred | October 20, 2012 at 7:03 am

@15 “If you strap one of the 47% to the bottom of your car, you might have Romnesia.”–Comment by Warren

It’s much more efficient if you bunch them all together and drag them behind the car. We wouldn’t want to leave anybody out.

If you believe doing missionary work for the Mormon church is the same as serving your country in the military, you have Romnesia.

(Ann Romney must’ve caught Romnesia, too.)

  21. Contrasuzie | October 20, 2012 at 7:46 am

If you used to have Mormons listed as a cult on your website, but now that you’ve met Mitt, you’ve removed it, you have Romnesia.

    (Billy Graham caught it, too.)

  22. Debbie | October 20, 2012 at 8:35 am

Guess what, Mark, most people are allowed to take a day off from work for whatever personal reason they choose. Paid time off, maybe you’ve heard of it, huh?

  23. pammala | October 20, 2012 at 8:49 am

if you dont have an agenda for 2nd term, just rely on stupid remarks about your opponent, lie about libya, lie about bammycare, lie about being a Christian, lie about loving America, lie about gun control and free speech and your past, lock up all your college info, lie about your childhood. just remember you’re the one that said if I dont cut the deficit 1/2 I will be a one term president. THANK GOD.

  24. Jeff Doto | October 20, 2012 at 9:03 am

Remember what Obama said in 2008 ? “If you don`t have any ideas to run on, then you try to make things up about the other person. If you don`t have any freash ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare voters. If you don`t have a record to run on, then you have to paint your opponent as someone you have to run from“. Diretly from the lips of the Hypocritical LIAR, Obama in 2008.

  25. Jeff Doto | October 20, 2012 at 9:05 am

Benghazi is talked about, Gdud, because of the COVER-up perpetrated by obummer and gang and it is a massive thorn in their side…Not to mention that 4 good Americans were killed…or does that even matter to you ?

  26. Jeff Doto | October 20, 2012 at 9:14 am

#4…Sure you can take that to the bank…Northern Va.?? Welfare takers and Gubmint workers who are going to start seeing their checks/jobs dissappear soon when the scope of said Gubmint starts to diminish….“Ohh, Lawdy…what will we do without our Gubmint check….I surely ain`t gonna get no damned job. Oh, `Bama please save us from work.“

  27. Jeff Doto | October 20, 2012 at 9:17 am

Loved Bill Clintons payback to Obama yesterday for blaming Benghazi on Hillary…The all knowing Clinton stated that the Economy is not `Hunky Dory`. Heh…Heh…heh !

#6…Yes Bull@#% is already taken…by you each and every time you type.

  29. Jeff Doto | October 20, 2012 at 9:23 am

#2….It would stand to reason that anyone with a mind could figure out what obamas plan for another 4 years would be…..the same as the last four years…Duh ! More attacks on jobs, higher, much higher gas, groceries, and as he stated himself…“Under MY PLAN, electricity rates would necessesarly SKYROCKET.“ Do you live in a bubble, May ?

  30. Jeff Doto | October 20, 2012 at 9:48 am

Jobless claims rise from 365,000 to 388,000…Great, obama…Welfare spending jumps 32% in 4 years…Great, obama….Violent crime jumps 18% in 2011..first jump in nearly 20 Years….Another great milestone for this Fabulous `leader`.

  31. Ron May | October 20, 2012 at 9:59 am

    pammala,

Words I can use on this blog escape me when I read and contemplate responding to the drivel you post here. You really do need to get help. Start by studying the link below which tells the story of what our mothers and grandmothers went through so that you could have the right to vote. Then consider that your TP/Republican candidates are opposed to the Lily Ledbetter Act and want to tell you what you can or cannot do with your body.

  35. Jeff Doto | October 20, 2012 at 10:09 am

Obama describes Benghazi as `Not Optimal`…..Pretty cold and insensitive for such a human tradgedy.

  36. J.M.White | October 20, 2012 at 10:12 am

Enlighten us, Mr Doto, as to how Romney is going to fix all of the things you flood post on the threads.

Do you even realize that you’re doing the exact same thing as you claim in #24? As it stands now, you’re more anti-Obama than pro-Romney.

We’re all aware of the problems – don’t you have any solutions?

  37. gdad | October 20, 2012 at 10:15 am

#134 MUCH stronger at fighting terrorism than that failure, Bush, Frankie wankie.

  38. gdad | October 20, 2012 at 10:16 am

  39. Frank | October 20, 2012 at 10:23 am

if you are cool with gas prices doubling in 4 years, you have obamaitus.

  40. Frank | October 20, 2012 at 10:27 am

if you are cool with disbelieving that the CIA found militant links in benghazi within 24 hours of the supposed “angry crowd” attack, you have obamaitus.

  46. Blue John | October 20, 2012 at 11:01 am

I have attached a link to the documents the highly partisan GOP committee released concerning Libya Security. Page 40 begins the report released on the day of the attack, it is out of sequence with the other reports, but it doesn’t appear security was a pressing concern. Taken as a whole, I don’t see the supposed threats to our folks, but it should be noted that security groups had been hired by our government.

If, like Romney you have to “retroactively” include the Swiss bank accounts on financial disclosures which you forgot to include on your 2010 tax return, you have Romnesia.

And, if like Ryan, you have to amend your 2011 tax return because you failed to report $61,122 in income, you suffer from Romnesia.

  48. Frank | October 20, 2012 at 11:53 am

dadgummit! …there it goes again! Gdad, stoppit with the pea-shooter, would ya? Sheesh. oh, hey gdad, did ya see rasmussen today? hee, hee!

  49. Shrillary | October 20, 2012 at 11:54 am

If like Romney, you fail to file taxes in MA, while living there, and instead file in Utah to get a $54,000 home tax reduction, then “retroactively” pay Massachusetts the taxes owed after it was brought to light – yep, blame it on Romnesia.

@35 Obama describes Benghazi as `Not Optimal`…..Pretty cold and insensitive for such a human tradgedy.” Comment by Jeff Doto — October 20, 2012 @ 10:09 am

Thanks Jeff Doto from saving me from watching or listening to the Faux News station to stay on top of the lies, distortions and RW meme…I can always count on you to come here and parrot the talking points…

and BTW, your post is a lie. Here is the actual quote, so you can stop looking foolish now:

Stewart told the president, in regard to the administration’s performance in the aftermath of the attacks, that “I would say and even you would admit IT WAS NOT THE OPTIMAL response – at least to the American people as far as all of us being on the same page.” [my caps for the dimwitted]

“Here is what I will say, if four Americans get killed it is not optimal,” the president responded. ”

    hey you libs,

Obama’s Plan: “….not optimal”; big bird; binders; Romneyitus; soak the rich; …all the rubbers you want; name-calling; golfing; campaigning; hate mongering; etc.

The king has no clothes….and no plan.

  52. Saintbridge | October 20, 2012 at 12:18 pm

    Hey, Frank!

    “Rubbers?” Really?

Better go tell them kids to git off yer lawn.

  53. dobbs | October 20, 2012 at 1:22 pm

Pammela, please. Tell ya what. Prove to the blog that YOU are a Christian. Prove it. Seriously. I’m going to show you the same level of respect, or lack thereof that you give out. I don’t believe you are a Christian, nor do I believe you love your country. You are an America-hating Muslim. Because I say so.

  54. Sandi Saunders | October 20, 2012 at 2:13 pm

No, the right wing is not racist, they are scum.

  55. Frank | October 20, 2012 at 2:16 pm

hey Saintbridge, sandy flucke wanted ‘em, obama gave ‘em to her.

  56. Kristen | October 20, 2012 at 2:25 pm

    “…all the rubbers you want;”

    I sense jealousy.

  57. Kristen | October 20, 2012 at 2:27 pm

I love how the people who brought us 9/11 are trying to make hay over 1 dead ambassador. Give it up, guys.
And maybe the response wasn’t “optimal”…it always slays me how Obama states the obvious and the Fright wing loses its chit over it.

  58. Kristen | October 20, 2012 at 2:28 pm

And guess what, Fright Wingers…4 dead in this country barely makes the local news. Get over it.

  59. Big Momma | October 20, 2012 at 3:39 pm

    Dan,
Funny how you focus on a one-liner and joke from the President. I guess that is about all you can support when you have a record like President Obama.

  60. Frank | October 20, 2012 at 4:03 pm

Hey shrill, the whole point of what obama said, as confirmed by what YOU say he said, and as confirmed in the link you provided…was that the deaths of 4 Americans…”is not optimal”. Thank you for making our point, again and again.

As obama is oft quoted, “THAT IS the point”!

  61. Sandi Saunders | October 20, 2012 at 4:51 pm

The point remains, you have no point. Mistakes, failures, gaffes, etc. happen; honest Romney supporters know this beyond doubt, yet their hypocrisy makes it all about Obama. Romney has only vague plans and failed policies to offer and yet you want us to fault only Obama. Hating Obama more than you love America is telling on you. Of course some of the raging right wing ignorance here does too.

  62. Richard J Beason CPA | October 20, 2012 at 5:00 pm

Big Momma – Curious, how much more in taxes will your average individual client pay under Mitt’s most recent tax plan? The one where he limits all deductions to $25,000 and no tax credits.

  63. Warren | October 20, 2012 at 5:22 pm

#57: “I love how the people who brought us 9/11 are trying to make hay over 1 dead ambassador”
    AND
#58: “4 dead in this country barely makes the local news”

    Great point, Kristen.

  64. Big Momma | October 20, 2012 at 6:34 pm

    @62 Richard,
Zero since I do not have individual tax clients.

  65. Shrillary | October 20, 2012 at 6:47 pm

Frank – you’re delusional if you think the quotes made your point – but keep twisting and turning into a pretzel…it suit you.

And for the education of the RWers…and to shut them up…
CIA DOCUMENTS SUPPORTED SUSAN RICE’S DESCRIPTION OF BENGHAZI ATTACKS

The Benghazi attack produced a swirl of intelligence reporting, some of it contradictory. The Associated Press reported Friday that within 24 hours of the assault, the CIA station chief in Libya cabled headquarters that eyewitnesses said the attack had been carried out by militants. But the analysts evidently didn’t feel that they had any single report that allowed them to make a definitive determination about the nature of the attack.

A memo prepared by the National Counterterrorism Center on Sept. 14 illustrates the fragmentary nature of the evidence: “As time progresses, we are learning more, but we still don’t have a complete picture of what happened,” noted the analysts. “At this point, we are not aware of any actionable intelligence that this attack was planned or imminent. . . . We are very cautious about drawing any firm conclusions at this point with regard to identification and motivation of the attackers.”

According to the CIA account, “The currently available information suggests that the demonstrations in Benghazi were spontaneously inspired by the protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and evolved into a direct assault against the U.S. Consulate and subsequently its annex. There are indications that extremists participated in the violent demonstrations.”
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/benghazi-attack-becomes-political-ammunition/2012/10/19/e1ad82ae-1a2d-11e2-bd10-5ff056538b7c_story_1.html

  66. Shrillary | October 20, 2012 at 6:50 pm

And one of the “brilliant” leaders of the RW lunatic wing of the republican party – in his zeal to politicize the deaths of four Americans in Libya, and play politics with foreign policy – did this:

“ISSA’S BENGHAZI DOCUMENT DUMP EXPOSES SEVERAL LIBYANS WORKING WITH THE U.S.”
House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) compromised the identities of several Libyans working with the U.S. government and placed their lives in danger when he released reams of State Department communications Friday, according to Obama administration officials.

Where will the outrage from the right be? Crickets…

  67. Frank | October 20, 2012 at 7:24 pm

    Hey Shrill,

Do you know what you just did? In your post at 6:47 p.m., you provided a link to an OPINION piece written by a Washington Post OPINION writer.

That’s like you quoting something ol’ dano writes, and passing it off as fact. Did you not know, according to ol’ dano, he’s “biased as Hell”?

And, YOU mam, are pathetic. You just lost ANY ability to have credibility, now or in the future. In fact, any credibility you might have ever had, even with others of your ilk…is, well, gone. poof. It’s gone. Never to return.

For goodness sakes, are you actually presenting a column written by a paid opinion writer… as FACT? Bwahabwahabwaa!

  68. Richard J Beason, CPA | October 20, 2012 at 7:33 pm

    64. Big Momma – That’s and easy out. My calculations show those making $100,000 to $400,000 could pay as much as $6,000 + in additional income taxes. Those making less with education credits and child tax credits could pay additional amounts as well. Yet someone making $20 million will save about a million in taxes.

Where’s the middle class tax cut Mitt is talking about?

  69. Richard J Beason, CPA | October 20, 2012 at 7:36 pm

    66. shrillary – Issa is worried about an election, he has no time for foreign affairs and safety. The same was true of Fast and Furious. He simply does not care about anything except trumping up charges to try to help the GOP win.

    66. shrillary – “The campaign against Susan Rice is especially misguided. Rice has energized U.S. diplomacy at the United Nations, restoring it to the center of U.S. foreign policy and playing a particularly central role in securing a Security Council mandate for the intervention in Libya. She has relentlessly pursued a U.N. role in Syria, despite Russian and Chinese objections, and has been a vocal and effective advocate of both the United States and of global norms. Indeed, she is arguably the most successful and important U.S. ambassador to the United Nations since Thomas Pickering” – Dr. Marc Lynch http://lynch.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2012/09/29/politicizing_benghazi

  72. Big Momma | October 20, 2012 at 10:08 pm

    @ 68,
    Richard,
It is an easy out. I’m not in the public practice.

I have already seen your easy calculations where you manipulate and create numbers to make your point.
Not long ago you were spewing how a $1,500/month mortgage payment would fill the supposed $17,000 bucket. You intentionally tried to mislead.

Somewhat more troubling is your confusion in instructing me how to calculate my effective and marginal tax rates.

You are basing your calculations off of your personal biases and assumptions merely because you are a pawn for Obama.

You could however as a CPA attempt to be somewhat objective in your analyses, but I guess that is asking too much. Keep drinking your Koolaid.

Pammala, I can tell you what this liberal comprehends. As long as you use terms like “caca brain”, you had better not expect anyone to take your opinions seriously.

All the faux concern from the right for a guy they never heard of working in a country they cannot spell is duly noted and accorded all the respect merited.

The stink of RW fail is strong in these parts.

  87. Jeff Doto | October 21, 2012 at 9:58 am

Yeah, White ..I have solutions…and the first one is to get this moron out of the White House…Secondly, take over the Senate…thirdly…vote in Marco Rubio as Senate Majority leader…4th….continue to unseat more democrats from the House…5th…Continue to unseat Democrats AND sorry-assed republicans from across the nation(as we saw in 2010) and replace them with fiscal conservatives….Anything else you need, little fellow ?

  88. dave | October 21, 2012 at 10:32 am

If Dodo thinks the Republicans would make Marco Rubio Senate majority leader, he’s living in lalaland. Mitch ( my only job is to make Obama a one term President) McConnell, Jim Demint, and the rest of his Semate cronies will never allow that to happen.

  89. gdad | October 21, 2012 at 10:37 am

    hey beason!

And NOW, susan rice is known as a dunce.

She will be forever remembered as nothing more than obuma’s mouthpiece for the cover-up and lies involving the tragic killings of four Americans in Benghazi.

obuma and clinton fiddled… while Benghazi burned and Americans were killed. …and, both were abetted by susan rice.

  91. Kristen | October 21, 2012 at 10:47 am

Really, Doto…when was the last time you participated in an election for Majority Leader? I’m curious.

Vote `YES` on question #1 at the polls..concerns private property.

  93. Jeff Doto | October 21, 2012 at 12:22 pm

Marco Rubio will also make a great President in either 2016/2020…Gar-ron-tee there won`t be a Democrat to worry about.

  95. Dan Casey | October 21, 2012 at 12:44 pm

“Vote `YES` on question #1 at the polls..concerns private property.”

Here’s what I love the most about the Roanoke Tea Party. They are diehard “private property rights activists,” right? They say that themselves. They are all for private property rights.

EXCEPT, of course, when it comes to a landowner’s desire to erect windmills on hi private property on Bent Mountain. Then they haul out every cockamamie argument they can, like windmills are prone to burst into flames, etc.

THEN, they are all against private property rights!

  96. Richard J Beason CPA | October 21, 2012 at 1:33 pm

Big Momma – I asked you to compute how Romney taxes would affect you. I manipulated nothing. I simply reduced the marginal tax rate by 20% as Romney has stated and limited itemized deductions, exemptions, and credits as he has stated. You don’t like that because it raises middle class taxes tremendously. Perhaps you have a magical computation that shows differently. If so show it.

  97. Dan Casey | October 21, 2012 at 2:39 pm

I think Richard knows something that we don’t: It’s that BM doesn’t prepare her own tax returns!

(Maybe she hires Richard to do them?)

Looks like Joff Doto is ceding the 2012 election to Pres. Obama. Finally!!

  99. Big Momma | October 21, 2012 at 4:25 pm

    @96 Richard,
You make up figures that support your biased opinions. I have shown that in previous threads.

    @97 Dan,
I am sure there are many things Richard knows that you do not.
However, fact that I do not have individual tax clients and do not work in public practice has no correlation on whether I complete my own tax returns.

  100. Richard J Beason, CPA | October 21, 2012 at 5:53 pm

Big Momma – You are making accusations that are totally untrue. I never make up anything to support biased opinions and I resent such accusations. You claim to be a CPA but do not understand how to reduce a marginal tax rate by 20% as Romney is promising nor do you apparently know how to compute taxable income. Amazing when I detailed a simple method based on 2011 income tax returns. My method is exact, simple, and correct. No manipulation, no bias, just the truthful application of Mitt’s tax changes. You are the one trying to manipulate the truth when you know Mitt’s proposals will increase most taxpayer’s taxes.

I simply do not have to manipulate anything to show how Mitt is lying. The numbers speak for themselves.

  101. Big Momma | October 21, 2012 at 6:43 pm

    @100 Richard,
You confused marginal and effective tax rates when you gave me directions on how to compute the impact of Romney’s proposal.

I am sorry you are offended by those accusations. I have no doubt that you run a sound practice with the utmost professionalism and competence.

However the posts, claims and half-truths that you post on this blog are another story and fully exhibit your position in Obama’s back pocket.

  102. Big Momma | October 21, 2012 at 6:54 pm

Let’s compute your savings under a Romney plan.
Take your total tax on your 2011 tax return( Line 55 if you filed a 1040).

Divide the tax by your gross income (line 22 on the 1040). This is your marginal tax rate.

    Comment by Richard J Beason, CPA — October 4, 2012 @ 10:04 am

    Richard
A selection from the post I referenced.

  103. Sandi Saunders | October 21, 2012 at 7:32 pm

Big Momma, since you, nor anyone else really knows what the “Romney plan” is, how can you calculate it accurately? Are you guessing? Knowing the supposed tax rate is only a portion of the equation for anyone. That he can only even hope to pay for a 4% reduction by removing every deduction should tell you something. Aren’t you arguing hypotheticals as reality?

    http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-10-12/repealing-deductions-pays-for-4-tax-cuts-study-says.html

    http://www.cbpp.org/cms/?fa=view&id=3658
“Romney Budget Proposals Would Necessitate Very Large Cuts in Medicaid, Education, Health Research and Other Programs”

There is much, much more at stake here than what any individual pays in taxes.

Immediate repeal of some of the most popular tax benefits would pay for only a 4 percent cut in U.S. income tax rates, according to an estimate by Congress’s nonpartisan scorekeeper that illustrates the mathematical and political challenges of financing rate cuts by limiting tax breaks.

    http://www.businessweek.com/news/2012-10-12/repealing-deductions-pays-for-4-percent-tax-cuts-study-says

  104. Big Momma | October 21, 2012 at 8:07 pm

    @103,
That is exactly my point Sandi. Richard was guessing and making statements and calculations based on his own personal bias against Romney.

I don’t question his ability or work in the office, but his views on this blog are heavily slanted and subjective.

In the post I questioned, Richard instructed me to take my total tax paid and divide it by line 22 gross income (actually agi if I wanted to be picky) , and the result would be my marginal tax rate.

    That isn’t correct.

  105. dave | October 21, 2012 at 8:37 pm

  107. Suzie | October 21, 2012 at 10:28 pm

With all due respect to Pres. Obama, he needs to telling his story and how he plans to govern over the next four years and stop this kind of stuff. I understand the temptation, but he needs to resist.</em.

Fat chance, Liberal Ron. Do you think he's going to broadcast his intentions to do more of the same? Don't you understand liberals have to talk conservative at election time if they ever hope to have a chance?

  108. Suzie | October 21, 2012 at 10:33 pm

Those were large numbers of middle to upper middle class, educated women who deplore Romney and the Republican Party’s stand on women’s issues at that meeting.

That’s a lie, dave. Most women do not consider abortion something they want or need. It is way down the list on critical issues even to women who hold the pro-abortion view. The economy is much more important to real women, and 0bama has failed desperately on that count. The women in the picture are paid shills who have no skin in the game. They’re looking for all the freebies they can get.

  109. gdad | October 21, 2012 at 10:52 pm

#108 And of course suzie is lying to try to prove somebody else is lying. “Women’s issues” doesn’t consist of abortion only.</em.

Birth control is an artificial issue–pulled out of the blue– totally created by the Democrats.

Here's how it was all orchestrated:

At the start of the year, 0bummer was doing poorly among women, so he needed an issue. So his campaign team got with its mouthpiece, ABC. and they created a plan. For the GOP debate, they got the moderator George Stephanopoulos to ask a question about restriction of birth control. Huh? Up until that time, none of the candidates had even mentiond it. It was never an issue.

So then the next step for the 0bummer WH was to get the slutty middle-aged professional activist–er, I mean the young innocent college student–Sandra Fluke, to whine about the government not paying for her birth control.

See, the Democrats knew abortion wasn't going to move the needle, but they figured if they could lie about birth control, THAT would scare women.

Now the meme is "Romney will take away your birth control" which is a completely ludicrous notion, as is the entire made-up storyline. Fortunately, it's not working. Romney is doing very well.

#113 and 115 You’re absolutely right, suzie, I’m fairly certain based on your asinine posts on this blog that I didn’t go out with girls like you, thank goodness. In high school, I first dated the woman I’ve been married to for more than three decades now and with whom I had two wonderful children.

So let’s see, my “personal issue” is that I’ve had the kind of stable and committed relationship you claim to advocate. Who knew you would see that as a problem of some kind.

  121. Sandi Saunders | October 22, 2012 at 8:55 am

True enough, until the occassion exists where they want or need one.

Gee Suz, but if you are gonna argue that “40 million faces staring down from heaven” is a representation the ubiquity of abortion, then it’s hard to stand by the statement quoted. Which is it, 40 million, or hardly anyone?

“40 million faces staring down from heaven”

Negative. If we are born with the stain of original sin, then we are conceived with the stain of original sin. So, unless 40 million aborted fetuses were baptized and had some form of absolution, they’re in Hell. Sorry. If you don’t like it, take it up with Him. He made the rules.

  127. Charlie Self | October 22, 2012 at 9:52 am

Frank, #125: For spitting venom, no one I know at this moment compares with Bedford County’s favorite Republican, Clifford Russell. I’ve read his diatribes in the Bedford Bulletin for years, but he surpassed himself a few weeks ago. I believe the man was marinated in bile at an early age and has now become fully steeped in meanness.

  128. Richard J Beason CPA | October 22, 2012 at 10:06 am

Suzie – your story at 114 sounds great, but unfortunately just is untrue as most of your posts.

Contraception remains the best means of stopping abortion, yet the FOP including Mitt Romney opposes it and certainly opposes insurance companies paying for it. Help to feed, clothe, and educate poor children is constantly being cut by the GOP. Romney seeks to cut all domestic aid. Romney and the GOP oppose equal pay for women. Until the GOP recognizes contraception as the best means of reducing abortion along with helping the poor child in this Country and equal pay for women; they really have no voice on the women’s issues.

Was that Obama or Nostradamus ?? Whoever it was, they predicted what Romney is doing, before we knew he was going to run !!

  133. gdad | October 22, 2012 at 10:47 am

#130 First, of course, I have no idea whether you’re actually a woman. For all I know you’re a middle school hermaphrodite tapping away in your basement. Second, I was merely returning the type of insult you regularly use on many folks on this blog. You can stop being all pretend huffy over it.

And, yes, we all noticed how you had to just ignore the fact that you’re the one who spews the nastiest anti-female crud on this blog.

    Much thanks, Frank.

I forgot to mention the persecution of the Catholic church by mandating they pay for birth control as part of the strategy that occurred right around the same time. 0bama decided he would throw Catholics under the bus and go all in for the loonies. I predicted it would backfire, and it has. Romney has pulled ahead with non-hispanic Catholics, and it has helped turn places like Pennsylvania into a toss-up state. As for the loonies, there just aren’t enough of them to save 0bama.

  135. Sandi Saunders | October 22, 2012 at 11:09 am

Romney is doing what he has always done, lie, flip-flop, and avoid the questions. Replacing President Obama with Romney would be a huge step down. We have done it before, so there is precedent, but it is a sad and telling thing. The right wingers in here are barely coherent, thoroughly dishonest, insulting to unchristian lengths and do not deserve to run this nation further into the ground with their wealth protection and dishonest frugality. Supporting a Plutocracy is not an American value.
