Will Bolling try to capitalize on Cooch’s con-man connection?
In the contest for the GOP nomination for governor in 2013, the smart money puts Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling at a decided disadvantage to Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli. In large part that’s because the nominee will be chosen via a one-day caucus in Richmond rather than a primary election. Below’s the elements of a flyer Bolling could use in advance of that.

WARNING TO BOLLING!
Dan loves you now, because Dan hates Cooch. But Dan’s love for you will fade as fast as a Vegas hooker. Mark my words….run from Dan while there still time.
There is only ONE reason Dan Casey would want Bolling as the GOP nominee for governor and that is that he thinks Bolling would be the easier candidate for a dem to defeat.
Dan is scared of Super Cooch.
BobH,
You couldn’t be more wrong. Cuccinelli has been so polarizing in the Senate and as AG that his nomination (assuming he gets it) will bring Dems out of the woodwork to work against him.
It’ll be a more newsworthy and less boring campaign with him in it. I always vote in favor of less boring.
But still, there are those pesky questions about Bobby Thompson/John Cody to answer. I’d also like to know what connection, IF ANY, Cody has with Mitt Romney, given that they were at Harvard law during the same time.
Cuccinelli is the easier candidate to beat because he’s the more polarizing one. He’s the extremist who wants Virginia to exist without church and state separation.
On one hand I want to see him nominated because he will easily be defeated, but on the other hand, I want to see him lose the nomination so he doesn’t even have the opportunity.
Extremists and Fundamentalists have no place in American Politics with their self-serving agendas. No Candidate will ever represent 100% of the people, but every elected politician should care about 100% of the people, and Cuccinelli does not.

Yep. There is a connection. I think Bobby Thompson was the guy that Romney held down while he cut off that weird Pompadour hairdo.
terps, you got ol’ dano pegged! if Bolling should somehow wrest the nomination from Cooch, ol’ dano will be the first “opinion” journalist to spread lies about, and otherwise fry Bolling immediately afterward.
Tell me who the heck the dems would even run against Super Cooch Dan?
Will they trot out Creigh Deeds to oppose him and get a 3rd strike at statewide office for him?
David Bowers? Wait! I know. Jody Wagner!
Doesn’t matter who they trot out to you Dan, cock a doodle doo, any dem will do.
Super Cooch sounds like the name of a bad 70s porno flick.
Bob H,
Terry McAuliffe.
ABB! Blue Virginia rising. Thanks Cuccinelli and Bolling, couldn’t have done it without your willingness to prove you are no Virginia Gentlemen!
If he doesn’t try to exploit it he’s some sort of moro…..wait, can’t finish that….
McAuliffe should be the governor now. Had the Dems been possessed of the requisite spine to run him last time things would be quite different (in a good way) for the citizens of Virginia now…
Carpetbagger McAuliffe couldn’t even win the nomination last time with the backing of Bill the great. That kind of crap might work in NY where they elected Bobby K and Hillary C as part time residents but voters here require more than transient residency.
Good luck with that.
