A bump in the road on the Friday OPEN thread
“Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things . . . a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid.”
Dwight D. Eisenhower
(h/t to Ron May for the link that contains this quote)

This is an old article, but it shows a very different approach to the WalMart/Sam’s Club model in several ways. It shows there are different models that work.
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/07/17/business/yourmoney/17costco.html?pagewanted=all&_r=1&
So even in Ike’s day Texas politicians were fail.
I think it is a great quote, quite prescient and current despite being spoken some 50+ years ago.
#1 Shame on Costco for treating employees better! Disguting. You can’t make any money that way. Thank goodness we don’t have one in the Roanoke area.
Hey you libs,
…(aww, you know who you are…), you know, the Walmart- bashers…yes, you! Where is your outrage, about gov’ment motors striking a deal to spend $1,000,000,000 to build an auto-plant in ….China?
After all, you libs relentlessly vilify Walmart for importing products from China….why not castigate GM? Oh, ahh, yep, I forgot. Sheesh, sorry. I forgot that GM is owned by good lib causes like big gov’mint and unions…, and Walmart is a dastardly, (big GASP!…), capitalist tool…., that’s why.
…seems that the GM plant in China is gonna build Sparks (I affectionately call’em… “sparkees”!). Then, those China-made electrical products will join Walmart’s products, and be imported back to the USA.
Hey you libs, why didn’t GM chose to build their Sparkee plant in America? Eh? And, why keep your outrage so …silent…, eh?
“General Motors Co. (GM) and its joint venture partners in China say they will spend 6.6 billion yuan ($1 billion) to build a third car plant to keep up with demand for vehicles in the world’s biggest auto market.”
“China has been the world’s biggest auto market by vehicles sold since 2009, when it surpassed the United States. Some 18.5 million vehicles were sold in China last year and automakers expect the number to rise to 30 million by 2020. Foreign automakers have been expanding in China to offset flat or declining growth at home.”
Frank,
I happen to believe that GM’s entry into the China auto market is a good thing for it and ultimately for its stockholders like me. The company’s intent, in this instance, is not to import those vehicles back to the US but to sell them to the Chinese. Since China is the largest market in the world I’m glad that GM is there.
Frank..
As usual you dont have a clue what u are talking about.
Thsi is GM-s 3rd China plant. You expand where there is demand.
The new plant is to supply the growing demand of minivans.
Its internal demand thats being addressed in China..
Where did you get the idea that these were to be imported back into the U.S. Or are u just listening to Rush when you are stoned?
..Even if you were right it would appear that you would support
Thomas Jefferson’s vision of this country in that regard.
Cross posted on the RT, but worth the read on the subject.
NO ONE can claim they did not see this day coming!
“The looting did take place.
It was recognized and opposed by some membes of Congress from the very beginning. In a Senate speech on October 13, 1989, Senator Ernest Hollings (D-SC) said,
“…the most reprehensible fraud in this great jambalaya of frauds is the systematic and total ransacking of the Social Security trust fund…in the next century…the American people will wake up to the reality that those IOUs in the trust fund vault are a 21st century version of Confederate bank notes.”
During a Senate speech on October 9, 1990, Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) said,
“…On that chart in emblazoned red letters is what has been taking place here, embezzlement. During the period of growth we have had during the past 10 years, the growth has been from two sources. One, a large credit card with no limits on it, and, two, we have been stealing money from the Social Security recipients of this country.”
On March 16, 2011, Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) uttered the following words during a Senate speech.
“Congresses under both Republican and Democrat control, both Republican and Democrat presidents, have stolen money from social security and spent it. The money’s gone. It’s been used for another purpose.”
Even President George W. Bush, one of the biggest looters, acknowledged the looting when he became desparate for more ammunition during his campaign to partially privatize Social Security.
On February 10, 2005, President Bush said,
“Now one of the myths about Social Security is there’s a pile of money sitting there accumulating, because you put money in, the government saves it for you, and then when you retire you get it out. That’s not the way the system works. Every dime that goes in from payroll taxes is spent. It’s spent on retirees, and if there’s excess, it’s spent on government programs. The only thing that Social Security has is a pile of IOUs from one part of government to the next.”

No way in hell that the government’s folly should be paid for on the backs of retirees who did their job for all of their working lives under the promise of Social Security being there when they retired. This is the LAST place that cuts and benefit reductions should be made.
Presidents and Congresses KNOW that wars, tax cuts, stimulus, incentives and hand outs/earmarks took money out of our revenue and expecting a work force that has been shrinking for over a decade to replenish it alone is ludicrous. Cutting future benefits for those same workers is simply unconscionable.
Frank, this is more or less the same lie Romney tried to sell in Ohio in an advertising blitz the week before the election.
Newsflash! It didn’t work then. What makes you think it’s gonna work now?
Republicans and Tea Party folks whine about the potential increase in taxes by approximately 4.6% back to the Clinton era rates. They whine that it will damage and/or kill small business. There are two comments I have about that. First, the marginal tax rates, even at the Clinton levels are the lowest we’ve had since the 1930s & 1940s depending upon whether you are looking at individual, corporate or taxes on dividend income. Second, should rates be increased only on income above $250K, taxes will not increase on the first $250K of income for individuals or small business owners. It will only increase on income above $250K. The chart below provides a historic look at federal tax rates from their inception to 2010.
I believe the President should stand firm in his negotiations with Congressional Republicans on this particular issue.

hey ron and joe,
I think i get y’all’s thinking!
Ron,
sooo, it’s ok with you for the $1 billion GM investment in China to enable Chinese workers (not American workers, mind you…) build sparkees’ for export back to America…as long as you personlly own stock in GM. Got it. Also, you didn’t reply why you think its ok for chinese workers to make plug-in cars that are tax-subsidized, yet you are horrified that chinese workers make products for Walmart, that aren’t tax-subsidized. Ohh, I get it! …you LIKE buying, and personally profitting from, tax-subsidized products. And, you like the idea that it will be Chinese workers and not American workers making those plug-ins, eh?
There is a word for that, Ron. It’s called “hypocrisy”.
Hey joie,
the plant i speak of is the first GM plant to build plug-ins in China… you need to study a bit before you jump on this one. Yeah, the demand in China for plug-ins is HUGE…having absorbed less that 6000 plug-ins in 2011.
hey joie,
since you are enthusiastic about china getting a $1 billion in US investment, and a whole BUNCH of jobs (both of which we could use here, in the land of obuma’s birth), are you also in favor of Walmart’s overseas’ investments in plants and employees?
#5 Frank, Frank, Frank, try to learn a little before you parrot right-wing lies. You’ll look a tiny bit less foolish that way. Not much, but a little.
“General Motors Co. and its joint venture partners in China say they will spend 6.6 billion yuan ($1 billion) to build a third car plant to keep up with demand for vehicles in the world’s biggest auto market.

Foreign automakers have been expanding in China to offset flat or declining growth at home.”
OK, I skipped over Ron May’s post and then saw it after I sent mine. Sorry for duplicating what he said.
hey dano,
So, tell me why you libs vilify Walmart for investing in plants and employees in China, and refuse to ply that same wrath to gm? is it because gm is a gov’mint and union-owned company, and Walmart is not a gov’mint and union-owned company?
Are you a hypocrate, like Ron and joie?
Dan, please don’t give nut jobs like Dave Gresham a forum to post complete BS like you did earlier. You are better than that, and so are your followers.
Frank #5, you really need to quit eating methadone with your Thunderbird Wine so early in the day… spit the chewing tobacco out, wash your hands, and THEN type coherent thoughts… geez.
Sandi, i remember reading articles years ago in news magazines (remember those?) that said, in effect, that the current working generation (us), could be “rolled” (convinced to voluntarily reduce their earned benefits from SS and Medicare). It’s time to fight back.

Nearly 200 released as result of drug lab scandal
By STEVE LeBLANC, Associated Press
Updated 6:21 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012
BOSTON (AP) — Nearly 200 inmates have been released from prison and their cases put on hold as a result of a Massachusetts state drug testing lab scandal.
Public Safety Secretary Mary Beth Heffernan told lawmakers at a public hearing Wednesday that while investigators are looking at about 34,000 cases overall, 195 individuals have been released, 79 in Boston.
Heffernan said their release doesn’t mean they have been exonerated. She didn’t say what kinds of crimes they had been convicted of, but said they could be under alternative forms of supervision as they await future court hearings to resolve their cases.

You’re still pretending you don’t get it, Frank. Listen up:
1. GM sells cars to China.
2. GM is building a plant to sell cars in China, biggest market in the world. They’re not building a plant there to make cars that will be shipped here.
3. The equivalent, in your Wally World-scenario, would be for Walmart to build a T-shirt plant in the U.S. and manufacture the T-shirts it sells here, RATHER than importing them from abroad.
4. Nobody here would object to that, thus there is NO hyprocrisy.
5. Either you know this and you’re wasting your time yanking our chains, or you’re stupid.
Why o why do you feed the trolls??? Ignore them and maybe they will go away!
Frank,
I can see from your responses that my response to your inquiry went completely over your head. I’m not surprised.
We are the employers of each House and Senate member. We should hold off paying their salaries ($172,000 base salary) until they do the peoples’ business. The republicans control the House – they have put forth more than 30 bills to repeal the ACA/ObamaCares and passed no bills for j o b s. Not one substantive bill has been passed – they have, however, named many post offices,
Since ‘we the people’ are their employers – much like the Norquist pledge they signed – we should demand senators and house members sign an employment contract with a specific performance clause. If Congress fails to pass a budget, fails to pass a jobs bill, fails to raise the debt limit – they will receive absolutely no pay. Why exactly are we paying these fools who play petty politics – they have made it crystal clear that they are perfectly willing to risk the country for their narrow views and personal benefit. They should not be rewarded for their lack of “performance” – withholding their pay may be one incentive to end the obstructionism.
Just to add to my comment at 2:02 this afternoon, by excluding the first $250K of income from the rate increase, the impact of the increase is solely on the top 3 % of wage earners and or business owners. So once again, the Republicans are holding our financial future and the future of medicare and social security hostage for the top 3% in our country.
Why does anyone bother responding to Frank’s idiocy. It’s not like he really wants to learn anything, have studiously avoided it this far.
#20 Frankie enjoys looking ignorant in front of others. And then when others point out how wrong he is, he starts talking about their pea shooters.
Shrill,
I agree with your 3:36 post. However, I believe the house has passed budgets that were held up in the senate. I also believe that obama’s “budget” proposal (the same as he is now proposing) was voted on in both houses and received “zero” votes.
On the WM vs GM issue, I think Frank’s point might be that GM should produce vehicles in the USA “and” export them to china. Seems like a “win-win” for workers in USA and consumers in china. (I imagine those pesky “costs” might get in the way)

mikeO “believes” the House has passed budgets that the Senate held up. He also “believes” Obama’s budget proposal got zero votes in both houses.
Why, pray tell, are such things the matter of “belief.” There are actual facts that either substantiate or disprove them.
Dan, the House republicans passed bills they knew would never make it through the Senate – they continued to add the “poison pill”
to a student loan bill, transportation bill etc. The Democrats are not without their own poison pill additions. But writing up bills knowing they would never get through one chamber or the other, is not legislating….its grandstanding to score some imaginary point.
Hey dano and ron,
It’s ok, you guys can stop pretending that you don’t get it.
1. You libs abhor the thought of Walmart importing products from China…even though Walmart sells products in China and around the world.
2. According to Jim Frederico, GM’s “global somethingorother” (I think he is a big honcho engineer), GM’s $1,000,000,000 new capital investment in China “will produce an all-electric version of the Spark for select U.S. and global markets, including California”. Ya got that, ol’ dano?
3. GM builds cars in China. Yes they do. They sell’em all over the world, even here in the 2nd largest market in the world, where there are a bunch of unemployed auto workers, along with comparatively low new capital investment…just like they will do with ol’ sparkee. Yes, they will.
5. In 2011, the China market absorbed less than 6,000 sparkees. So, you smart libs, where ELSE do ya think China will sell it’s all-electric sparkees, eh? Can you libs sing “California here they come, duda, duda”…sung to the tune of, “California here we come, duda, duda…”
6. In the USA, are our unionized auto workers at full employment? You guys don’t care. According to Ron, he’s cool with GM building sparkees in China, and selling them over here. Ohhh,…now I get it! Ron doesn’t think California counts as being part of the U.S. HaHa! Got it.
7. In the USA, could states and localities benefit from additional capital investment…like from a BILLION bucks?
8. dano, our analogy of t-shirts to plug-ins is like dollars to donuts…in this case, is rhetorically stupid,…in other words.
9. Either you both know all this and are willfully stupid and/or dishonest, or, maybe you are just uninformed.
10. By the way, I have no investment in GM, nor Walmart (other than indirectly, perhaps some mutual funds), unlike Ron, who claims to be happy with his personal investment in GM stock. Ergo, unlike Ron, I have no vested interest influencing my opinion. Hey, dano, since GM is gov’mint and union-owned, you got some stock, too, doncha?
Frank, it appears that you need a little bit more practice on your counting. LOL
–dan
Hey dano, and Ron,
…don’t get too hung up on what happened to number 4. I took it out, ’cause I thought it was equivelent to No. 2, which already took away both of your false beliefs (I say “false beliefs”, because you sure as heck don’t have your facts right) that China is building their new sparkee plant in China, for like, the China market. HaHa.
hey kristen,
since you appear to read my posts (thank you), I think you are that much closer to having your light-bulb burn a little brighter one of these days. Keep up the good work.
The GM China plant will produce cars/vans for the Chinese market, not for the US market…comparing the GM plants in the US and China = apples and oranges.
Joe Klein over at Time sums up the republicans
“The Republicans are, reportedly, outraged by President Obama’s opening bid in the fiscal cliff talks. Republicans always seem to be outraged. It’s getting boring. They need to step up and make a counter-offer.”
[...]
“it is time to stow the Republican intemperance. It might have seemed “righteous” indignation when the GOP was deluding itself about representing a majority of Americans; now, it just seem puerile and petulant.”

Dan,
I am sure that, Frank, needs to take his boots off to count to 20… give him time.
Shillary, YES! If there was any good faith in Congress or the Executive branch, they should start by reducing their own pay and benefits. Then they would be leading by example. You are correct, we need to withhold payment until they do their job! It’s amazing we put up with their BS.
Kudos to the young lad Angus Jones for denouncing the filth of his TV show. I watched it once and couldn’t believe the lines coming out of a child. This is nothing short of child abuse. Odd how the left was never bothered.
“hey kristen,

Frank, nobody gets brighter reading your drivel, LOL.

Angus Jones got whacked by some nutty religionists while he was under the influence of LSD, and that video is the result, LOL. And Suze is praising him. LOL even more.

Frank…
Hypocracy bears no
resemblence to the raw facts.
I dont know what difference it makes if those
vehicles are plug-in/hybrids or what..but in any event
you are the only one who is saying they are.
Its a plant to make conventional mini-vans for Chinese
consumption.
Give us all some data (not from your own fetid cloth) that
says these vehicles will be transported back to the U.S.
And you wander off to the Wal Mart issue.
None of us here are talking anything about Walmart…just you.
You do obsess with things that are only in your head.
Dan used an analogy with Walmart…it was an analogy.
Frank theres a difference between an analogy and actual facts.
Dan was painting a picture for you ..you get caught up in the leaves
at the edge of the scene and think thats what the story is about.
By the way, before you respond…my point is not about Chinese paintings.
Dan,
Really???
Ok the house “passed” bills, as is their responsibility. Are you really that obtuse???
Shrill,
Obama put forth a suggestion that nobody in his own party voted for last time. some might call that arrogance…
If you are following the “negotiations” at all (or have ever been in negotiations) you would realize it was intentionally a “non starter”. The R’s have the option to be as completely “arrogant” by saying we will defund (x,y,z) programs or they can, rightfully, say that obama has no intention to solve the problems we face.
Obviously obama’s arrogance leads him to believe he has some sort of “upper hand”, but he does not…
Let’s all jump off the “fiscal cliff” that the D’s and R’s accepted in what many in the senate want to define as a “budget”.
When families making 45k suddenly have to pay 2k more in taxes they might “get it”.
The light bulb comment made me remember this Chuck Lorre vanity card that he wrote during GWB’s first term. http://www.chucklorre.com/index-dg.php?p=72
Angus Jones apologized on Wednesday or Thursday, for the comments he made. Two and a Half Men is far from wholesome, but I’m guessing Angus likes the money he’s making. His contract is up next year anyway, if he wants to quit the show.
Franks posts have the same effect on my brain as beer does to Cliff Clavins. The herd gets faster.
hey shrill,
…not THAT plant, silly! I’m talking about the $1 billion one that’s gonna make little plug-in “sparkees” that you libs would buy, if’n you could find a place to plug’em in. sheesh.
hey dano,
In your case, dano, you are a true lib, and true libs never admit that they even “might” be wrong on something, ya know?
Hey dano, why are you and ol’ Ron, the college pres, happy that GM is investing $1,000,000,000 (for you libs other than kristen, that’s $1 billion…) to build a “sparkee-making plug-in auto plant in….China…., when we’ve got a huge need for capital investment and JOBS here in the USA, the country of obuma’s birth, ya know?
NEITHER of yas’ have ‘splained yourselves yet, ya know? Oops, well, ol’ Ron has, cause he says he’s a stock-holder in GM. what about you, dano?
Angus Jones denounces his TV show, yet he’s still cashing the checks.
“Dan,
Really???
Ok the house “passed” bills, as is their responsibility. Are you really that obtuse???”
mikeO, why say that “I believe” the House passed budget bills that got hung up in the Senate.
Either they did, or they did not, and it doesn’t matter one bit what you “believe.” Are you so obtuse that you don’t get that? Cite facts; which mean something — rather than “beliefs” that mean nothing.
Note that cannot provide a single link or fact to back up anything he says.
Frank. You’re wrong.
#40 Sold the biz yet, pammie?
“#40 Sold the biz yet, pammie?”
No, and, and, and, and . . . it’s all OBAMA’S FAULT.
LOL
#46 Frank,
“In your case, dano, you are a true lib, and true libs never admit that they even “might” be wrong on something, ya know?”
Does this little epiphany mean you’ll finally cop to the folly of “hook, line and sinker” and acquiesce to letting me buy you and the DMatt some silly looking cheddarbomb hats? And if not, would you at least consider submitting a family picture of you and the D’ster so I could at least Photoshop you guys wearing the swell headgear?
“true libs never admit that they even “might” be wrong on something, ya know”
So Suzie is a true lib, eh?
Whoathunk?
Oh, he’s wearing headgear already, he just doesn’t know it.
GOP makes a play for the women’s vote in 2014, hilarity ensues.
A must read!
Too many in America have abandoned God by embracing the communist goals established decades ago; particularly embracing of abortion, premarital sex, cohabitation, gay marriage, removal of God from public schools, disseminating contraceptives, and disintegration of family.
We now need to take a look at the Blessed Mother’s warnings at Fatima in 1917 if we continue to continue to embrace the godless communist leftwing ideals.
“She (Russia) will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.”
You have to wonder if one of the nations to be annihilated is the United States.
And I’m Napoleon. Derp!!
I want to encourage the born Catholics in the room to return to Church and become active again. Start going to mass again. Start praying again. Start going to Holy Communion. My eyes have been opened since the election; since I figured out what is really going on. I genuinely feel our country has been hijacked by evil forces bent on taking us the way of the Soviet Union. There will be a lot of suffering because we have turned away from God and allowed godless ideas and policies to take hold. Catholics who have lapsed in their faith are especially disappointing. They stood by passively while abortion is being forced onto the country
I am well aware that a charitable disposition is part of that, and that’s why I have changed the way I post. I will continue to tell the truth, but I will refrain from personal insults even when I receive them. True, I saw it as a game in the past, but maybe some in here get hurt feelings when I talk about their families or kids. I shouldn’t do that, and I will stop it. I have wasted a lot of time in here with the back-and-forth exchanges with accomplish nothing. That’s probably the worse offense. I have and will limit my time in here from here out, and will spend it trying to change minds and hearts.
I want everyone here to imagine what Heaven is like. There are biblical accounts, but a look at NDE experiences might also provide a clue. Many report witnessing incredible things, seeing and feeling the presence of God. Afterward, their lives are completely changed. They are calmer, more focused, more mature, worry less, and more attuned to others. They are happy. You can get that way through devotion to God here on earth.
Catholics, you have a lot of tools at your disposal; Mass, the Rosary, the Bible. Read about the lives of canonized saints. ALL did daily devotions, spent time alone with God in the morning, praying, saying the Rosary, thinking. It will bring a calmness and a joy about living to your lives. If you make your one goal to serve God and become a saint, you will find yourself looking for ways to serve people, and you will look forward to every day. You will live in the present. This has happened to me the past month. It feels permanent.
nope, MAKING LOTS OF MONEY THOUGH!
@56
That’s interesting. The revelation of an angel in 1917 as proof of events or a point of view in 2013.
You know, with all the saints and angels and such, I kinda wonder why Catholicism isn’t considered a polytheistic religion. When you really think about it, it’s more like the Greek and Roman religion in which multiple gods have specific supernatural roles. Just as the Greeks sought devine influence from the likes of Demeter, Athena and Artemis, the Catholic tradition seems to replete with saints with certain responsibilities.
I see know difference, except the Greeks were a lot more fun.
#56….Americans have more personal weapons now that at any time in the past….America is LOCKED and LOADED and the whole world knows it… and fears it….Tip of the day: Keep your weapons well OILED( Gotta love that OIL).

This, however, is not Obama’s fault.
#61 Jethro the Dodo posted the following neck puke;
“Americans have more personal weapons now that at any time in the past….America is LOCKED and LOADED and the whole world knows it… and fears it….”
Comment by Jeff Doto — December 1, 2012 @ 9:15 am
Jethro sounds like he’s had a couple extra Mtn Dew’s to get the taste of meth out of his mouth this morning. Jethro is feared about as much as a mild case of athlete’s foot or a litter box that needs to be cleaned. I swear to God I could set my watch to Jethro’s weekly Saturday morning bout of verbal diarrhea he’s so predictable. His posts are the intellectual equivalent of the Amtrak Acela train hitting the short bus that Jethro spent his early teens in commuting to and from fifth grade for three whole years before social promotion (affirmative action for heyseads) finally got him into middle school.
pammalala….Obama built that.
Suzie, I appreciate the essential goodwill of your meassage. Stepping back for a moment of introspection is almost always beneficial. Good stuff.
Permanent…maybe like a hair do done at home.

Catholics only please…you are the only ones with much of a chance.
I am sorry pammala, I simply do not believe someone so bitter and insulting can be “MAKING LOTS OF MONEY”. Lots of money tends to make normal people happy, hopeful and cheerful (Unless of course like FlimFlambaugh, you make your money by being bilious).
Struggling, or appreciating the struggle of others is humbling, maybe even humiliating, but it is not deliberately vile and vituperative. You and others, simply belie your own claims.
“nope, MAKING LOTS OF MONEY THOUGH!”
–Comment by pammala
Fancy that. Now that Obama has been re-elected, pammala is raking it in. I’m happy for you, pammala. Looks like all the doom/gloom you’ve been predicting for months ain’t gonna come to pass.
No surprise on that, though. . .
“that’s why I have changed the way I post”
Sure it is…
#58 suz,
So I guess it’s not serious now, then?
Actually, I think the fact that you still have the red ass about being so drastically off the mark with the whole “landslide” silliness that its caused you to reconsider how you used to carelessly go about setting yourself up to be humiliated by yours truly. At least I’m finally getting you trained properly.
The Lord works in mysterious ways, especially when smiting the foreheads of ignorant fools like you. In spite of all your imperfections Jesus does in fact still love you but I’m his favorite; this is why he allows me to be right all the time instead of you.
%9 pammalala, I don’t see how that’s possible with Obama’s re-election. You assured us all small business would be destroyed. What happened?
#61 Like the concealed carry dunce in Florida who killed a teen because of loud music, Dolto?
#58 “but maybe some in here get hurt feelings when I talk about their families or kids.”
Gosh, you’re just now realizing it’s NOT the the height of comedy and originality to call people’s kids stupid and lazy?
“I have and will limit my time in here from here out…”
And that will be one huge relief to the rest of us. But we’ll sure as heck continue to make fun of you when you claim things like the election was stolen and the U.S. has been taken over by commies.
We’ll see how long all this lasts. Your past vows have been broken quickly.
It will indeed test my willpower to refrain from plastering people to the wall when goaded.
#74 And BTW, suzie, I just saw the start of an SNL rerun, and, by golly, it led off with the opening skit making fun of Obama for his first debate performance. This was the skit that you assured us one or two days after it first showed didn’t happen.
Will your new posting persona avoid lying like this in the future? That would be great.
GIVE IT TIME DEARIE,

Butthurt = spiritual awakening.
#74,
You have no willpower; I took it from you when you doubled down on “landslide” and consequently you got spanked like a misbehaving two year old. I own you now. I put one of those reverse-studded dog collars on you and make you walk on all fours like a female dog-in-heat with mange pretty much whenever I want now. I told you a year ago exactly what would come to pass and behold, I was proven correct as always. Suz, I gave you a whole damn year to capitulate to what everyone clearly sees now is obviously your intellectual superior and at every turn you nipped at the hand I extended to you with a bacon flavored Beggin’ strip in it. Now shut the hell up, go re-read Ephesians 5:22 and make your Grand Dad a sandwich before I metaphorically beat the living snot out of you with a rolled up newspaper some more.
“GIVE IT TIME DEARIE”…
WTF? Are you the Wicked Witch of Western Virginia?
You are really weird with your over usage of dear and dearie. Try this one, Ma’am… That seems to work for all of us respectable liberals.
” If you make your one goal to serve God and become a saint, you will find yourself looking for ways to serve people, and you will look forward to every day. You will live in the present. This has happened to me the past month. It feels permanent.” -Saint Suzie
So… can only Catholics find god? Is this the beginning of an exclusive club? Secret handshakes, magical underwear? Ooo! Can I wear the hat that looks like an uncircumcised phallus? While I have the attention of a saint, why does the Pope need bullet proof glass and doctors? Just wondering since he is god’s homeboy, and speaks to him on a daily basis.
Ramen.
