I'll post this here and hope Mark Taylor sees it.

He had a column earlier this season about how to take better photos of killed game while in the field, and it was a very good primer. It gave concise tips for how to blend the documentary needs with a visually pleasing photo. I think some of the hunters have shown they've followed his tips, for example, the photo a month or so ago of a guy's nicely taken black bear, and more are avoiding the careless aspects of field photos that make them seem garishly pornlike.

So, thanks Mark, and maybe re-run that column every so often, maybe with updates for new tech.

I think I have an idea for a
very popular blog.
Itll be about a lunatic woman
who is infatuated with then sails
onto the back of a running deer..
screaming "I told you all so ..I told you
so" into the dimming evening and the drifting snow.
And the moderator brings in someone a bit more moderate
from Lapland to give some sage reindeer reasoning.
Top of the World with Tjorvin..but alas it wears thin,,
It is yet more distant than Texarkana.

There are PLENTY of deer to look at in my neighborhood. I actually enjoy seeing them. But they certainly do like to eat my landscaping plants. (Oh, well, some of them needed pruning anyway).

Yup, the Swolenogin Bambitis Ignoramus a.k.a the Bambi syndrome season is upon us yet again?

How time does fly. Or is that does' flies or deer ticks or Lyme disease?

Re: October 11, 2011 @ 11:11 am

"I enjoyed rereading some back posts in this old thread, especially my own."

----------------

Ah! For once old Rants & Raves (w/ lies) was honest -- acknowledging his/her narcissism, be it her/his psychoanalytic mental illness or the social and cultural problem he/she represents.

Could it be that back then he/her had a moment of decent honesty.

Or was this just another case of a blind pig inadvertently stumbling across an acorn?
