West got jobbed. The MSM doesn’t care. Nor did they care about the voter fraud in PA, OH, and Broward Co., FL.

Don’t worry, Dan. There will be a lot more where that came from in the coming years. Once we turn into the communist paradise 0bama is working for, most if not all your favorite stores will be shut down. And to think you not only voted for it, you ran columns supporting it.

As the Hostess CEO drove his company toward bankruptcy court, the greedy bastard got a 300 percent raise, from about $750k a year to $2.5 million, for helming over a money-losing company. Nine other execs’ salaries doubled or nearly doubled. This issue was actually raised in news reports by Hostesses’s creditors.

Meanwhile, they later came up with a plan that cut rank-and-file workers’ pay 8 percent and their benefits, too. This came after 8 years of concessions by workers that were supposed to be invested in plant upgrades, but instead were squandered on executive bonuses and payouts to Wall Street vulture capitalists. The company also screwed workers out of their pensions.

The road for the workers was clear: things were heading in a direction in which soon, they would be paying Hostess for the privilege of working there, and all the time the execs were laughing all the way to the bank.

If it’s true that the workers shut the company down (this is disputed, btw) good for them. This needs to happen to a few more companies before the execs realize that they can’t simply roll over workers any more. Things have gotten far out of balance in the labor environment, and this is one of the things that right that balance. It’ll be painful for workers, execs, stockholders and creditors, but it probably needs to occur as a an example to money men of the long term consequences of their actions. In the long term, it’ll be for the greater good.
