Dear Mr. Corp:

I believe you are right on target with every word you wrote. If my home were there, I can't imagine how concerned and upset I would be. The only thought that comes to mind in reading your take that might ad fuel for your position, all be it pointless considering the city will do what is best for the city, not your neighborhood.

Were you there when they built Valley View Mall? There must have be a great deal of concern from the residents at that time of the impact from that, the lights, traffic noise. That should have been the last imposition of infringing on the neighborhood. Now they want to cross the road and literally come into the neighborhood. The opposition should be enough is enough. Once they get into the neighborhood, in decades ahead they will then want the homes for the development and expansion all the way over to rugby.

My grandparents home was on the corner of McClanahan and Rosiland. Our back yard went right up to the railroad tracks right there at the underpass to the playing fields on the other side of the track. The home was sold to developers in 1961. Look at the area today. In my opinion, once they get into the neighborhood, consider the area, in 50 years or more, the neighborhood will be gone and all commercial. My heart aches thinking about having such commercial high rises up against my street or neighborhood. I wish you and your neighbors all the best.
