I believe that all of those 2000 years of Popes and Priests have indeed seen the "hand of God" by now, and I am thankful for it. You cannot defend them, except, you do.

Do you truly not even see the contradiction in your own mantra? "Conservatives are very generous to the poor; we just don’t believe taxpayer dollars should be used to promote dependency"? Why does your supposed generosity NOT "promote dependency" if such a thing is the reality of a helping hand? Why would God tell us to be generous, kind, and look out for the widowed, orphaned, sick and poor yet want the government, the very people with the power to alleviate suffering, not to? You only prove your own lack of comprehension and hypocrisy with every post.

Everyone flourishes with support, a chance, an opportunity, a hand up, a mentor, an inspiration. NO ONE flourishes without any of them.

You do not, for one moment "believe promoting an environment which aids job creation is the most compassionate thing you can do". You ALL (if we believe you are part of any damn business at all), do it for the money. You do it for the profit it allows you. If an evil, foul person such as yourself could make the money without workers, we ALL know you would do so in a freaking heartbeat. Business NEEDS workers to thrive and be profitable. Period. You have no more interest in "the poor" than most people of your ilk, you think your "charity" will buy you into Heaven. It won't. You too will see "the hand of God" one day.

#51 "you’ll see it’s only college students who are polled."

No, suzie. You're wrong. You're grasping at straws and you know it.

"Among Catholics attending Mass at least once a week, 30% responded as such (that premarital sex is always wrong)."

If you go through my link, you'll find this data was being quoted by Msgr. Charles Pope of the Archdiocese of Washington as proof that the church has a lot of work to do.

And guess what? Surveys also show that girls who go to Catholic schools are MUCH more likely to participate in "hooking up" than are girls who go to non-Catholic schools. Chew on that one.

In other words, more than 70% of Church-going Catholics do not hold or agree to the teaching the Church and Scripture that premarital sex (fornication) is always wrong.

If you investigate the internals, you'll see it's only college students who are polled. And from my experience, most "Catholic" college students are not faithful. They may go to the chapel folk mass once in awhile, but college Catholic organizations are often notoriously liberal, and sometimes disobedient to the church itself. When I was a college student, I attended a family parish church in town because the university church was just too out there. If Sandra Fluke is any sort of example, it just shows the success communists have had achieving goal #27

" Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social"
religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual
maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch.""

College campuses are of course the most likely places the churches can be infiltrated. in addition, college age is a time when many kids are off on their own for the first time. It's probably the least stable time of their lives. Ask them these questions when they are 40 and note the responses.
