The Post of the Day covers the lies about Obama

Grafic by Dan

Note from Dan: The post of the day is by me, a response to dave, who wrote: “The biggest lie perpetrated by Romney and the Republicans and the outside groups sponsored by the Koch Bros. and the oil/coal barons was that Obama was killing energy policy and keeping us subservient to foreign oil. If we would just let them have free rein with no regulations, we would solve all our energy issues.”

dave,

I think it’s actually hard to characterize the biggest lie. Those and the other examples of misinformation were so many, and so varied, and they were even posted here by so many RWers like Leon, Suzie, terps, Michael Howdyshell, pammala, LC, Chuck, mikeO, Frank, Pistol Pete, matt, Sharon N and others. It was astounding.

The comforting part is that it backfired on the RWers. Recall, it wasn’t that many months ago they considered Obama the easiest incumbent president to beat, EVER. All of them KNEW (in their deluded minds) that he was by far the WORST president in history, and none of them could imagine a 3-million vote majority of electorate voting for him, against anyone with a pulse.

The very notion that Obama would win 332 electoral votes was absurd. It could not happen — in their minds. It was totally out of the question.

It’s obvious what happened. The public saw through the RWers’ smokescreen. The public got tired of the lies — about energy, the ACA, Dodd-Frank, the birth certificate, welfare reform, Medicare, taxes, spending, unemployment, the economy. That list barely scratches the surface. Those were everywhere, all over the place, all the time. The RWers even lied to themselves about Romney’s poll numbers — which is an actual hallmark of insanity.

And they backfired big on Romney. The nonstop, breathtaking lies turned voters off to Mitt.

Boo hoo! They have only themselves to blame.

Are you happy, RWers? You shot yourself in the foot. I was happy to provide one of many forums for you to do that, btw.

Don’t give us that bitter stuff about: “Oh, you’ll see now. You just wait until this country goes to hell in a handbasket.”

Because, based on all the other garbage you folks wrote, over many months, we know that’s BS as well. Your credibility is totally shot. We don’t believe you. Why should we?

But please come back! We still have to clean up the House of Representatives. And you can help!

Post of the Day indeed! To use an analogy Suzie made, if Jesus Christ came down and told them the truth they would deny it if it did not fit their POV.

    “a 3-million vote majority”

Imagine what it would have been without Republican voter suppression.

What’s sad is I had to unfriend and block my own aunt on Facebook today. She is one of those crazy right wing nut jobs, and was constantly commenting garbage on any of my posts about Obama. She even started to get personal, of course I tried to explain to her to just not read what I post since it was on my Facebook and not hers, but alas she couldn’t comprehend that. She even had the nerve to call me stupid and dumb ect. ect. but the thing is she was the one that on a high school history test said the French bombed Pearl Harbor. My point is this is the kind of people we are dealing with.

Dan, Indeed. Hard to believe the Wingnuts continue their absurdities. All the money did not sway the smarts of the middle class. My confidence in their ability to discern absurdity from truth is restored.

Dan I don’t believe she is my aunt, don’t think my aunt could contain her language enough to post on here. Although she does live in Salem so who knows maybe she does post on here. If she does everyone on here needs help she may be worse than ole suzie.

sounds like Fox news. According to Fox news Romney was going to win by a landslide or was it a mudslide.

The French DID bomb Pearl Harbor. It was a false-flag operation, just like when Hitler killed JFK and blamed it on Marilyn Monroe.

Scoff if you want to, but it makes as much sense as most of the anti-Obama stuff.

  18. gdad | November 13, 2012 at 11:16 am

#14 Who is “obuma,” Frank? Never heard of him.

  19. Justin True | November 13, 2012 at 11:54 am

    Frank,
Why did Bush lie about 9/11?

  20. Frank | November 13, 2012 at 1:33 pm

if Bush had actually lied, obuma and his legion of libs would have prosecuted him after he left office. instead, obuma kept in place many of the very thingies which his legion of libs wanted changed. can you say “gitmo”?

  21. Frank | November 13, 2012 at 1:35 pm

hey gdud, i think obuma might be the guy some say was born in kenya.

  22. dave | November 13, 2012 at 2:04 pm

    Justin True

Why did Mitt Romney lie about the welfare

    to work requirements?

Why did Mitt Romney lie about Jeep production?

Why eid Mitt Romney lie at least every other day in the entire campaign?

Why did Paul Ryan tell five lies in his speech at the RNC?

How could you te3ll when Romney and Ryan were lying? Simple. If words were coming out of their mouths, they were lying.

    Why did Mitt Romney lie?

Frank has spent months here proclaiming Obama incompetent, among other things. Now, all of a sudden, Frank seems to have great respect for the president’s competence.

  24. pistol pete | November 13, 2012 at 2:16 pm

Woodrow Wilson – Oil boom during his tenure – Economy grows – He pushes socialist programs.

FDR – 2nd US oil boom during his tenure – Economy grows – He pushes socialist programs

2015 – Shale Oil boom in the north plains, and natural gas price recovery to global prices – Economy grows …………………………………………………….. (you fill in the blanks)

  25. Kristen | November 13, 2012 at 2:55 pm

Not sure where you got that particular bit of nonsense, PP, but you might want to rethink the FDR portion.

  26. gdad | November 13, 2012 at 3:04 pm

#24 I’ve been assured by numerous right wingers, PP, that Obama is intent on destroying the oil business, so no need to worry about your scenario. Right?

  27. dobbs | November 13, 2012 at 3:24 pm

    Frank @1:35
OK, so, THAT is who this mysterious “obuma” guy is. Some guy born in Kenya (with a capital K, since it is a proper noun).
Gdad, you might have thought ol’ Frank was trying to slur the name of the president, but that would be incorrect. I’m sure Frank, like anyone with a lick of sense, knows Omama was born in Hawaii. This “obuma” fella was possibly born in Kenya. Thanks, Frank, for the clarification.

  28. matt | November 13, 2012 at 3:28 pm

Ahh, so Dan likes gitmo now. And he doesn’t mind that he was lied to over and over by 2008-Obama regarding gitmo. It’s a lib thing.

  29. Sandi Saunders | November 13, 2012 at 3:44 pm

Did being lied to over and over by 2012-Romney regarding everything stop you from voting for him lower case matt? Must not be just “a lib thing” then.

  30. matt | November 13, 2012 at 3:50 pm

    “…Omama was born in Hawaii.”-dobbs

Hey dobbs, maybe your pal gdud can help us out with who this Omama fella is…

    Thanks, dobbs, for the clarification.

  31. Dan Casey | November 13, 2012 at 3:52 pm

The Romney campaign was a consultant con job !!

Queue the fresh conspiracy theory: Obama partisans did a super-secret infiltration of the GOP campaign to make it fail

  32. matt | November 13, 2012 at 3:55 pm

Ummm Sandi… who has been president the last four years?

“I have said repeatedly that I intend to close Guantanamo, and I will follow through on that.” -Obama 2008

    Ouch.

    (I know I know, it’s Mitt Romney/George Bush’s fault)

  33. dobbs | November 13, 2012 at 4:51 pm

Touche, lower case matt. I hate typing on an on-screen Droid keyboard.
I think “Omama” is a character in a Bob Dylan song:

“Omama, can this really be the end?
To be stuck inside of Mobile,
    With the Memphis blues again.”

  34. Frank | November 13, 2012 at 9:59 pm

    hey dobbs,

you need to better learn to read. i clearly said that obuma might be the guy some say might have been born in kenya. i clearly didn’t say that either obama or obuma were difinitively born in kenya.

hey dobbs, whats this you’re saying about “omama” being born in Hawaii? So what, who cares about “omama”?

hey gdud, who’s this “omama” lady dobbs is fussing about? was she born in kenya, too?

  35. Frank | November 13, 2012 at 10:06 pm

    hey dano…,

actually, what i really think happened about that gitmo thingy is that Bush out-smarted obuma. obuma couldn’t figure out how to close gitmo, and also couldn’t figure out how to tell his lib followers he couldn’t figure out how to close gitmo…sooo, we, and obuma’s libs, still have gitmo.

said another way, the reason we still have gitmo isn’t because obuma COULD figure out how to close it, ya know? Yep, Bush was too smart for’em.

  36. Suzie | November 13, 2012 at 10:14 pm

Cheating and free stuff gave Democrats a pyrrhic victory. You didn’t win; we all lost. You didn’t win on any ideas. Nobody thinks 0bama is doing a good job. A full 75% of post-election responders said their lives were worst than four years ago. Romney clearly had the better ideas and everybody knew it. But the takers didn’t care, and the cheaters took care of the rest.

  37. gdad | November 14, 2012 at 8:26 am

#34 Gosh, Wankie, I don’t know. Ask dobbs. But who is this obuma guy you keep talking about?

  38. gdad | November 14, 2012 at 8:30 am

#36 Yeah, suzie, that whole cheating thing really isn’t working for you. Obama swept whole precincts in 2008 and the Rethugs didn’t find any cheating. And you know they were looking.

BTW, I think what folks were saying was that their lives were “wurst.” Eating more sausage, you know.

  39. matt | November 14, 2012 at 9:50 am

Ol’ DUD keeps firing away with his wittle bitty water gun.

  40. Frank | November 14, 2012 at 9:56 am

    hey gdud,

if you read my above post to ol’ dano, you’ll know that obuma is the guy who Bush out-smarted regarding Gitmo.

    HaHa!

  41. Frank | November 14, 2012 at 9:57 am

    hey dave,

Why did obuma lie about Benghazi during his last speech to the un?

  42. gdad | November 14, 2012 at 10:10 am

#39 And now mattie is talking about some guy named DUD. Did both of you fellas have your brains completely scrambled by the whacking you took in the election?

  43. gdad | November 14, 2012 at 10:11 am

#40 Hmm, let’s see now. Who was the dumbass who started the whole Gitmo mess to begin with? Oh yeah, I remember.

  44. Frank | November 14, 2012 at 1:51 pm

obuma promised he would close it….siad he would close it….put a time-line on “closing” it…Gitmo’s still open. obuma lied.

  45. gdad | November 14, 2012 at 4:13 pm

#44 And so Shrub outsmarted Obama how?

  46. Shrillary | November 14, 2012 at 5:24 pm

According to many of the Romney/Ryan losers, the President somehow “cheated” to win….well, even Lyin Ryan can’t tell that big one…

Paul Ryan: Shocked at loss, Obama won fair and square

“Ryan said President Barack Obama deserves to be congratulated for having “a fantastic ground game.”

“He won fair and square,” Ryan said of Obama. “He got more votes, and that’s the way our system works, and so he ought to be congratulated for that.”
    http://news.bostonherald.com/news/us_politics/view/20121113paul_ryan_shocked_at_loss_obama_won_fair_and_square/srvc=home&position=recent

So the almost Republican VP has spoken…can the rest of you RW non-reality based conspiracy theorists just stop the stupid meme now? yeesh.
