Phyllis Taylor, 64, was Phyllis Whorley, when she was 20 and danced at Papa Joe’s under the stage name, “Pacific Shane”. She talks about when she was booed off the stage in Cleveland and they threw tomatoes because she wouldn’t take her panties off. She stands at the corner of the building that was last Vinton Roofing, 1402 Wise Avenue, S.E., and talks about how her life is so different now. She attends church regularly and has two natural children, an adopted nephew who she raised as her son and two stepdaughters,a stepson and 20 grandchildren.
