"simply note that replacing Orton with Tebow did, factually, result in a significant improvement in Denver’s one won-loss record, to the extent that they unexpectedly made the play-offs AND managed to win a play-off game, to boot."

Well, they sort of backed into the playoffs. They were on track before losing the final 3 games of the season. They were 8-5 with a schedule against New England, Buffalo, and Kansas City. However, I do not agree with the wording "result in a significant improvement" I would say that his placement had little to no effect on whether the team won or lost, but I would place blame on Denver's Defense. Take Tebow's passing numbers.. He didn't match Orton's yardage until **8** weeks after he took over for Orton. McGahee's numbers were down as well. However, the defense yardage allowed and points allowed really improved, (save for the Detroit game.) If you'll look at Tebow's wins, all but one are by 1 possession or less.) It could be argued either way, but all things being equal, I'd still not place responsibility or blame on Tebow or Orton for the teams performance as a whole. The evidence points to better than average work on the defense, and a decline in productivity from Orton to Tebow. Tebow being in the right place at the right time seemed to have just been in the right place at the right time. That said, he also had the lowest completion percentage in the league in 2011.

"My point with Tebow, which folks like you ignore, is that somehow, his teams manage to do pretty well."

I don't understand how you can make this claim when he's only played for three years and One team went 3-11, one 8-8, barely winning a playoff game, and the other went 6-10. (total record: 18-29) He hasn't played for a "doing pretty well team" since he left Florida.

Elway and the media weren’t happy with how Tebow led the Broncos in 2011, and replaced him with arguably the best quarterback ever. And, they failed to win a play-off game. With essentially the same team as Tebow had the year before. And Tebow gets ridiculed. Kinda like Terry Bradshaw got ridiculed. Bradshaw was no media darling, ya know? But, he was a winner, and has 4 rings as proof. Or, to listen to his detractors, Bradshaw was just lucky."

This is where I agree with you. the media has a FIELD day with this guy because he's so polarizing. Skip Bayless especially. This guy's whole program thrives on Tebow. People hate him because of his Christianity just as much as people blindly believe he's an amazing quarterback because of his Christianity. I have a problem with both. Some people are angry and some are stupidly blind.

Frank, you just can't stop lying, can you? You called your sister "dumb" and "clueless" a month ago. That's not trashing?

Now, please quit embarrassing yourself. It's really quite pitiful.

hey gdad,

Let's see, I referred to my sister as a "tie-dyed libber", or something thereabout, I think. I shudder to think of how she refers to me, politically. I didn't wish her harm. I didn't call her a retard. I didn't say she rides the short bus.

I didn't "trash" my sister, gdad. I didn't say anything along the lines of, after knowing she got physically assaulted..., that "she deserved it".

Did I?

There's no moral equivalency. So, stop making more of a fool out of yourself than you already have.

My only point with you, Frank, was making a statement like "The libbers are the only ones who trash families, oe suggest that they should be harmed.” I don't remember liberals trashing families at all, but there's no question that if they have, they sure as heck ain't the only ones. suzie seems to have refrained from trashing our kids (who she doesn't even know) recently, but she used to take great joy in telling us how lazy they were and how the only college they could get in was VWCC, along with other choice insults. She thought she was just funny as hell.

And you were the one who trashed your own sister. I clearly remember that one because I was pretty appalled that anybody would talk about his own sibling the way you did.
