Link between bluegrass music and Agenda 21 — revealed!
Remember Virginia Green Menace? That’s the anti-environmentalism outfit that gave the fake environmental award to Roanoke Tea Party President Chip Tarbutton last year.
Their site today riffs off my Thursday column and labors on at great length to explain the link between bluegrass music in the southern Appalachians and one-world government communist domination.
It reminds me of those leaflets the Lyndon LaRouche crowd used to hand out on the streets of Washington explaining the links between the Queen of England and the global drug trade, which by the way was controlled by Britain’s royal family.
Allow me to boil down Virginia Green Menace’s ”logic trail” for you. It starts with businessman Woody Crenshaw in Floyd and ends the Communist Party USA.
Here we go — better take your Dramamine!
Woody Crenshaw ——> owner of the Floyd Country Store ——-> president of SustainFloyd.
SustainFloyd ——>partners with an international leftist organization 350.org —–> which is headed by Bill McKibben ——> who has spoken at the Floyd Country Store.
McKibben has been lauded by ——> the Community Foundation of the New River Valley ——–> which is a partner with the New River Valley Livability Initiative.
In 2009 SustainFloyd sponsored the SplitRail Eco-Fair ——-> which held a demonstration calling for atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) worldwide to 350 parts per million (ppm) ——> and sent a picture of the demonsration to ———->the United Nations.
350.org was a partner with ——-> The International Council of Local Environmental Intiatives ——-> which is a well-known partner with the UN’s Agenda 21.
350.org is also associated with ——-> The Sierra Club ——-> Green For All ——-> Earth Day Network ——-> Carbonfund.org ——-> US Climate Action Network ——-> Green Corps ——-> Article XI, New River Land Trust.
Green For All ——-> was founded by Van Jones who ——-> was a self-avowed communist. Green For All is also associated with—–> the Center For American Progress ——-, the Apollo Alliance and —->Moveon.org.
The Roanoke Chapter Sierra Club ———> introduced one member of Roanoke County’s government to ———-> ICLEI, and that person introduced ICLEI to ——–> the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors ———> which is associated with the Cool Cities Coalition.
Earth Day Network is associated with ——> the Carbon War Room ——–> Earthshare and ———-> the Sierra Club. Earthshare is associated with ——-> the Nature Conservancy which participated in ——–>the UN Rio+20 Conference on Sustainable Development held last year.
Green Corps is associated with ——–> Energy Action Coalition, which ——–> participated in “One Nation Working Together” rally held on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in October 2010 ——-> which was sponsored by (among others) ——–> the Communist Party USA and the International Socialist Organization.
Good grief. You got all that?
I guess they’re suggesting that Woody Crenshaw is a closet communist or something. It’s a good thing for Crenshaw that Sen. Joe McCarthy is long gone!

Where’s the link to Kevin Bacon?
Well, at least they’re consistent, though I worry that we’re giving them too much attention. It looks like VGM poster “bill” is gunning for this year’s esteemed environmentalism award.
Aldridge’s website is still as devoid of intelligent life as ever (well, any life, really. Seriously. That site is so dead, a tumbleweed rolled across my screen when I clicked the link.), and they are still proudly proclaiming how they’ve been thwarting those dastardly bike lanes and oppressive greenways – just one more victory in their tireless war against the ongoing UN invasion.
———–
It’s hard to believe that this was the scene in some UN secret meeting place in late 1991:
Cabal Leader: “We have to come up with some ideas on how to take over the world. Anyone?”
French Rep: “Raise our own army and invade with military might?”
Leader: “No, that would get too messy and expensive, and it’s been done to death.”
S. African Rep: “Take over the economy of the world and just bend all countries to our will?”
Leader: “A good idea, but the Illuminati already have that plan patented. Those jerks always steal the good ones. Sorry. No dice.”
American Rep: “Why don’t we bring the world to its knees through a relentless campaign of draconian bike lanes and those little paved trails-of-tears we call greenways. We can do this all through the guise of the “environmental” movement that’s catching on everywhere these days. We’ll call them “sustainability initiatives”, but really, the genius of the plan is in how we slowly erode the property rights of the people, 15 feet at a time. Eventually, they’ll all be jam-packed into easily controlled (and if need be, easily eliminated) megalopolises while we rape and pillage the resources of the world and make mad, crazy money. If we do it right, we could start making marginal inroads by 2010. That is, only if some confab of pure geniuses in the ass-crack of Appalachia doesn’t figure it all out and start some kind of group to foil our plan.”
Leader: “Why, that’s brilliant, Jenkins! Draw up a plan, file it as “Agenda 21″ and let me know what you need. By the way, how long it take for the completion of your plan?”
American Rep: “That depends. If we don’t run into any trouble, we should have complete and total domination of the globe in about 300 years.”
Estonian Rep: “Aren’t you worried, in our dynamic and often unstable geopolitical atmosphere, that your plan may no longer be feasible if too many variables change in the coming years?”
All Reps: “SHUT UP, NEWBIE!”
I wonder if Green Menace received any funds from these groups:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2013/feb/14/funding-climate-change-denial-thinktanks-network
“Conservative billionaires used a secretive funding route to channel nearly $120m (£77m) to more than 100 groups casting doubt about the science behind climate change, the Guardian has learned.
The funds, doled out between 2002 and 2010, helped build a vast network of think tanks and activist groups working to a single purpose: to redefine climate change from neutral scientific fact to a highly polarising “wedge issue” for hardcore conservatives.”
Art Hill: I’m sure Mr. Bacon has disavowed any association with the matter and paid good money to cover up any he may have actually had. He’s far too busy not being insanely paranoid about the UN’s inevitable world domination and subjugation of the human race. He’s just learned to accept our new demon hippie overlords and go back to making movies.
Why do you resist, VGM? We only wish to raise the quality of life for all species. Freedom is irrelevant. Self-determination is irrelevant. Negotiation is irrelevant. You must comply. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
J M White, funny.
Went to the Green Menace site and it is quite amazingly shallow. It’s 100% guilt by association presenting no factual evidence. What is evident is their complete paranoia.
I think the “link” is the one science has called “missing” for a long time. In all its glory.
Now that you mention it, Art, it’s plain as day that Kevin Bacon IS involved. The proof is any lack of his involvement – obviously.
It’s ironic that so many tea partiers believe in these insane conspiracy theories, yet they also deny that they are nothing more than pawns for the Koch brothers.
The Bluegrass Music world is also a two party system with me being the opposite of whatever the organization as a whole could be labeled. That being said I do have “green” tendencies. I like the idea of solar power and water panel heat. But I cancel out that idea by driving a gas guzzler truck and use all electric heating and power. Most “Bluegrassers” just prefer to get away from the wife and kids and drink a few beverages while playing music until their fingers feel like they will fall off.
THIS JUST IN from an email correspondent who wishes to remain anonymous.
What do you think the chances are that the author of the Virginia Green Menace article on the Bluegrass Music–Agenda 21 Connection is a LEED-certified engineer at a Roanoke Company that trumpets its efforts in sustainable development and is a chief consultant to the Partnership for a Livable Roanoke Valley?
Gotta be impossible, right? Perhaps they are two different guys with the same first and last names!
Speaking of the queen and drug trafficking…

It’s not that far fetched when you look back to the Opium Wars in China. England wanted Chinese tea and didn’t want to keep sending gold to China so they forced them to accept opium instead and there you go.
Interesting, Dan…
I wonder how it all ties back to Aldridge and Tarbutton. I smell a conspiracy here. They are known associates, of course, and they’ve shown that they will stop at nothing to thwart the evil hippie UN agenda. It’d be interesting to find out from whence come their orders.
In all seriousness, this whole anti-Agenda 21 thing seems to be nothing more than a fear-motivated campaign against what they feel is the “communist liberal threat” (which is in reality the normal progression of civilization). It’s a cheap form of politics through dread and ignorance.
How sad that the people who believe they are fighting the hardest against the evil Machine are in actuality the very cogs that keep it running.
My thoughts exactly, Art.
Yep…the links are definitely there.
and this just in… the Death Star destruction in Star Wars was an inside job.

Dan, I’m sure Floyd Fest is mixed up in this communist takeover too. Think about it – 10s of thousands of hippies, yurts, communal activities like listening to live music (including new grass), a yoga tent, a dance tent, etc, etc…and in Floyd County.
Dan, if you like, I will investigate this matter and report back to you and the Gonzos. I have my tickets, my tent, my sunscreen and my sandals. BTW, I will be celebrating my 60th birthday at Floyd Fest (can’t wait)!
Bluegrass? TP is committing heresy in SW VA. Run the TP out of here..
Remember in high school when Alice Cooper records played backwards had some “satanic message”? THAT is now the Agenda 21 “movement”.
Check out a little piece of legislation the Congress slipped by a short while back called the food protection act and find out what “animal identification” is all about.
In other words, the federal government would be totally in charge of the food supply. You could only buy what they approve and you couldn’t raise it yourself. You would eat and drink only what the government gave you permission to.
Just a tip of the globalism known as Agenda 21. Scoff at it all you want sheeple!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had to let you know which Bob you were talking to!!!!!!!!
Sandi, interesting posit.
The funniest part about that was that Alice Cooper was pretty forward with the Satanic messages in his song. Even better, backmasking and listening to music backward predates his music by decades, yet he is almost always the one first referenced when the subject of satanic messages in music is broached. All the way back in his 1913 book, Magick (Book 4), Alister Crowley suggested listening to records backward to train your mind.
Since Alister Crowley was an avowed occultist, and with the renewed interest in the occult in the 60s, 70s and 80s and the subsequent backlash panic from the fundamentalists, it makes sense. In the late 70s, even mentioning Crowley’s name would send fundies into apoplectic fits. So naturally, anything that he was for, they were against. And it must’ve come from the Devil, of course.
Oh, and Alice Cooper? He turned 65 in February. That’s right – he’s less than a year from full retirement age and is eligible for Social Security right now. Yet, he’s STILL doing shows and dropped an album less than two years ago. Being an agent of Satan apparently works wonders for the longevity of one’s career.
A pal of mine in Florida saw Alice Cooper in concert last year. He’s been to a lot of rock concerts — and he said this one might have been the best he’s ever seen.
J.M., I think each generation has had the “backwards” meme applied to whomever was that generation’s “bad boy”. And then they grow up to be TEA “party” members.
Cooper was a rocker, glad to see he is still performing. So is John Fogerty which makes my heart sing and he is touring now and has an album coming with a lot of collaborations and duets. “Wrote a song for Everyone”. I will never outgrow CCR.
“Scoff at it all you want sheeple!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Scoff, scoff.
“Had to let you know which Bob you were talking to!!!!!!!!”
The ignorant irrational paranoia already told us that.
Right, Bob. It wouldn’t have anything to do with stuff like hormone-riddled horse meat being labelled as beef or the yummy nutritious snack known as ammonia-infused “pink slime” being put in everything (to maximize profits, of course) or anything like that. Because, you know, that’s never happened.
How silly of us to think that we need to protect our food and water supply! I should learn to like having my potable drinking water drawn from sewage wastes and hey, that Stouffer’s lasagne I bought should be composed of no less than 20% roadkill meat. Stouffer’s has to turn a profit, right?
Oh, and about the government telling what we can and can’t eat: It’s called the FDA, and it existed long before Agenda 21.
Oh no! I just had a terrible thought – what if Agenda 21 is actually the brainchild of those filthy fascist bastards at the FDA?
Bike lanes and greenways and clean food, oh my! Do you have a dog named Toto, Bob?
“I will never outgrow CCR.”
There’s no need for you to do so, Sandi. Creedence is timeless. “Chronicle” is on my list of must-have albums for any collection. It’s right there with Bob Marley’s posthumous “Legend” and Led Zeppelin IV.
Bob, that email you received is manure. Use it to fertilize your garden this summer.
Bob, if you really believe this, “You could only buy what they approve and you couldn’t raise it yourself. You would eat and drink only what the government gave you permission to.” Seek therapy.
My guess is that the “Agenda 21″ crowd is using things out of context on the “animal identification” just like they did on the land issues.
The town criers whine that the UN says ““Land cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market.”
“Private land ownership is also a principle instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice, if unchecked it may become a major obstacle to the planning and implementation of development schemes.”
“The provision of decent dwellings and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interest of society as a whole.”
Under Agenda 21 there would be no private ownership of land, it would all belong to the state and be used for the greater good of SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.”
http://www.charliedaniels.com/soapbox-2012/soapbox-2012-0416.htm
PANIC PEOPLE AND do it quick!
When in actuality the UN’s “Vancouver Plan of Action, June 1976″ says:
“1. Land, because of its unique nature and the crucial role it plays in human settlements, cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. Social justice, urban renewal and development, the provision of decent dwellings-and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interests of society as a whole.
2. Instead, the pattern of land use should be determined by the long-term interests of the community, especially since decisions on location of activities and therefore of specific land uses have a long-lasting effect on the pattern and structure of human settlements. Land is also a primary element of the natural and man-made environment and a crucial link in an often delicate balance. Public control of land use is therefore indispensable to its protection as an asset and the achievement of the long-term objectives of human settlement policies and strategies.
3. To exercise such control effectively, public authorities require detailed knowledge of the current patterns of use and tenure of land; appropriate legislation defining the boundaries of individual rights and public interest; and suitable instruments for assessing the value of land and transferring to the community, inter alia through taxation, the unearned increment resulting from changes in use, or public investment or decisions, or due to the general growth of the community.
4. Above all, Governments must have the political will to evolve and implement innovative and adequate urban and rural land policies, as a corner-stone of their efforts to improve the quality of life in human settlements.”
http://habitat.igc.org/vancouver/vp-d.htm
Context matters to everyone EXCEPT the TEA “party”.
did you read the part that says:
” cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals “
The Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 mentions “animal identification” one time: “(1) CONSISTENCY WITH EXISTING STATUTES AND REGULATIONS- To the extent possible, the Administrator should establish the national traceability system under this section to be consistent with existing statutes and regulations that require recordkeeping or labeling for identifying the origin or history of food or food animals.
2) EXISTING LAWS- For purposes of this subsection, the Administrator should review the following:
(A) Country of origin labeling requirements of subtitle D of the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 (7 U.S.C. 1638 et seq.).
(B) The Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act of 1930 (7 U.S.C. 499a-t).
(C) Country of origin labeling requirements of section 304 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 1340).
(D) The National Animal Identification System as authorized by the Animal Health Protection Act of 2002 (7 U.S.C. 8301 et seq.).
(3) CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS- Nothing contained in this section prevents or interferes with implementation of the country of origin labeling requirements of subtitle D of the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 (7 U.S.C. 1638 et seq.).”
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/111/hr875/text
And if you look at that system, you find: http://www.nationalaglawcenter.org/assets/articles/obrien_animalid-newfarmbill.pdf
“Three Key Components.
1. Premises Registration. In general, facilities that manage or hold animals are required to register for a unique premise ID number with the appropriate state or tribal officials. Secretary Johanns stated in a speech on August 24 that all 50 states are participating in the program and that 300,000 premises are already registered.
2. Animal Identification. The next phase entails identifying the animals. The NAIS covers bison, cattle, cervids (e.g., deer and elk), goats, horses, camelids (e.g., llamas and alpacas), poultry, sheep and swine.3 Dogs and cats are not included. Depending on whether their animals are generally
kept with the same group their entire lives, such as with most poultry and market swine, the animals can be identified as a group as opposed to individually. The cattle industry working group envisions using individual animal identification.
3. Animal Tracking. The final phase of the program will have parties recording key pieces of information related to livestock movement to a central recordkeeping system. In particular, the Draft Strategic Plan envisions recording the animal (or group) ID number, the premise ID number, and the date of the event being recorded.”
Seriously Bob, cry us a damn river! We want to know where our food comes from, for VERY good reasons. Horse meat is just one of them!
“We want to know where our food comes from, for VERY good reasons.”
Purchase it from people you know! It can be done.
Exactly, Mike Scott. The requirements apply to large scale food suppliers. No one is going to tell Joe or Judy Homeowner, that they can’t have a garden in their backyard, and farmers markets with small family farmers selling their goods are not not going to disappear.
pammala, I know it is a foreign concept, but read it in context. It is talking about zoning laws and official “uses” decided for land, which local governments have been doing for a long, long time. Stop parsing and get the message intended not the secret your decoder ring has “uncovered”!
“Above all, Governments must have the political will to evolve and implement innovative and adequate urban and rural land policies, as a corner-stone of their efforts to improve the quality of life in human settlements.”
You’d think this would be obvious. Sort of the way trying to clean up the food supply would seem like an “obvious” goal. Spend 3 minutes researching meat and factory farms and you’ll get religion quick.
Ted Nugent is awesome at getting his own food, Gotta kill it before you grill it!!
Dan is so gonna enjoy TED NUGENT April 28th at The RCC!!!!! With that Wiley Drive sitting in your car smile, I don’t expect you’ll like Wango Tango!!!!!!
Save The Gerbils!!!
Four words: Ralph Stanley endorsed Obama.
Heh heh
Ted Nugent is an offensive buffoon, but he is still one up on you Bob, he does not hide in the safety of anonymity and insult people, he does it out in the open and is proud of it.
Communist conspiracy. What a quaint idea. I guess these whack jobs have run out of NEW kooky theories and so they are trotting out some ancient ones.
I hope Bob caught the quote by Dave Hartman of Southern Culture On The Skids in this weekend’s RT. He said that in his first teenaged band they mostly played Kiss and Ted Nugent because “they were the easiest to play”. That pretty much describes many of today’s Nugent fans too, especially those over thirty-five who haven’t grown in their tastes for decades: “easy to play”.
Warren @ 8:37,
Hope springs eternal; I seriously doubt Bob’s much into that reading thingie.
Warren,
Perchance is Dave Hartmen of SCOTS related to Dr. David Hartman, the Carilion psychiatrist?
