The sad part of this video is that I remember using a typewriter not very different from the one in the video. My mother insisted that I take a typing class during my senior year of high school. I was the only guy in the class. I got ribbed alot by my male counterparts. But my senior prom date came from that class.
This is my Friday drive-time tune today:
A former colleague who lives in the Hampton Roads area shared this link with me. I’m sure Atty. Gen’l Cuccinelli will love it.
I hope everyone will also enjoy this fun typing record in a different genre (Joe Campbell may know it already):
I also leaned to type on a machine like this. My dad insisted I take typing in high school. I resisted ’cause “I’m going to college – I am not going to be a secretary.” The old man was SO right!

Metro Columnist Dan Casey knows a little bit about a lot of things but not a heck of a lot about most things. That doesn't keep him from writing about them, however. So keep him honest!
He welcomes your rants, raves and considered opinions, so long as the language is civil (i.e. no four-letter words). He'll read all your posts and may or may not respond.
