Well the second day of George Zimmerman’s trial in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin is underway, and the first one didn’t start off too good for George.
The prosecutor opened by quoting Zimmerman’s words to a police dispatcher in which he used the term “f—— punks” and “a–holes” in describing his suspicions as Martin strolled past him with candy. Sounded like Zimmerman was mad as hell and not not going to it anymore.
Then Zimmerman’s attorney totally bombed with a knock-knock joke in his opening statement — during a murder trial, no less. The lawyer was left begging the implacable jury for a chuckle, after he figuratively called them a herd of ostriches.
Then, Zimmerman’s attorney claimed Martin had “armed himself with a concrete sidewalk.” And some Skittles and a soft drink, let’s not forget.
Could things have gone any worse for the Z-man? Will somebody point out the defense here?
