This was the theme song of one of the most interesting and formative nights of my life, way back in 1982. I had picked up the record in the 25-cent cutout bin of a College Park, Md., record store. It’s an amazing disc, and well worth buying today. Here’s another tune from the same album, and another. That night, me and my roommate Moonman (who now is doctor of oriental medicine AND and American Sikh, and who wears a turban and has a beard almost to his belly button, and lives in New Mexico) had a party. We played this tune, more than once . . . and that’s all I’ll say for now. But I remember every minute of it, for many reasons.
