The Post of the Day — Aug. 7, 2013
Note from Dan: This comes from the infrequent poster here known as Evelyn.
“Is anyone else getting really tired of hearing politicians (our candidates for governor) and bureaucrats (Virginia ABC) talking about “we were well within the law” when talking about accepting gifts?
I am starting to think I live in some poor third-world country where the wheels only turn when well-greased with bribes rather than Virginia, USA.
I am pointing fingers at both sides of the aisle in the General Assembly, U.S. House and U.S. Senate, White House, Governor’s Mansion, state and federal government agencies – the whole lot of them.
Don’t talk about people on welfare/disability having an entitlement mind set – our government “servants” certainly do and they write the laws protecting themselves. The Supreme Court added to the mess by allowing unlimited spending by special interest PACs.
We have the best government money can buy. Sorry, but I can only think of one word to describe this mess, even if it sounds juvenile – GROSS.”
