Oh my God. All along commentators have been complaining the House Republicans had “no strategy” when they careened into the ill-advised shutdown. But watch the video below. It appears they did have a strategy. They pulled a little-noticed rule change to ensure that nobody by Rep. Eric Cantor, or his designee, could go around the House leadership via parliamentary maneuver to fund the government. That’s shameful, and sneaky, and not at all like the American Revolutionists, who Rep. Morgan Griffith bizarrely compared House Republicans to last week. Unreal.
