I stumbled upon your blog post with I’ll Be Your San Antone Rose this morning. What a pleasant surprise.
I grew up with that song–my dad had it on a Jerry Jeff cassette tape we used to listen to in the car all the time. I probably heard it 1,000 times in the first 12 years of my life. And maybe 3 times since then.
But I still love it — think of it whenever I see a Miller High Life sign.
Thanks for sharing.

Note from Dan: The Jerry Jeff Walker/Carole King duet is from the JJW album “Too Old To Change.” It was released in 1979, and it was the first of many JJW albums I’ve purchased. Other gems on it include: “Hands on the Wheel,” “Mountains of Mexico,” “Cross the Borderline,” and the title track. Click on the link above if you didn’t listen to the tune Friday. It’s marvelous!
