Asians now account for 5.5% of Virginia’s population

Virginia’s Asian population increased by 69 percent during the past decade. Asians now comprise 5.5% of the state’s population.

About three-fourths of the state’s Asian population is in Northern Virginia.

The Weldon Cooper Center at the University of Virginia has prepared this overview of the state’s Asian population — along with a map.
