Best Thing Growing in the Compost Pile

Almost everyone has good stories of pumpkins growing out of the compost, but I’m sure some of you have had more exotic offerings.
Our best compost plant was an old blueberry bush that my husband pulled out because it wasn’t producing berries and looked near death all summer. He threw it into the compost, and lo and behold, it rooted and started to thrive.
Best solution? Mulch around the bush, and start a new compost pile.
What’s the best thing you’ve grown in your compost?

Radioactive moss-creatures; they took over half of Rocky Mount in 12 hours flat.
I had 2 peach trees grow out of my last pile. One had sweet yellow peaches and the other white peaches. Moved the pile to better care for the trees about 3 years ago. The trees are dying (perennial canker) but my new pile has a beautiful peach tree growing out of it!
This might be of interest to gardeners and composters alike.

We have had potatoes, tomatoes, acorn squash and of course a peach tree or two.
