Free Garden Talk on Horrid Insects

One of Hahn’s Horticulture Garden’s free garden walks and talks will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, February 27 from 12:00-1:00 p.m.  Eric Day, Virginia Tech Entomologist and NPR celebrity, will give a talk on “Horrid Insects and Lesser-Known Trivia About What’s Eating Your Garden”.  Doesn’t that sound like a perfect topic for lunchtime?

If interested in attending, meet at the Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion.  No registration is necessary and parking passes are available at the Pavilion for Visitors only. (F/S/ must park in designated F/S spaces.)

About this blog

Karen Hager has been writing our "Down to Earth" gardening column since May 2011.

She is an avid gardener whose passion for the hobby was cultivated by her mother. Karen is now passing on that love to her young son and grows vegetables and flowers for her family of three. She encourages experimenting and sharing.

Her column runs every other Saturday in the Extra section.
