What a buzz kill!

According to this article in today’s Washington Post, a “perfect storm” of conditions may conspire to drive up beer prices in 2008. Some craft beers may go up as much as $1 per six pack.
Besides higher prices for hops and barley, one reason is an increased demand for beer in China. What’s driving the Chinese to drink more beer?
A friend suggests that it’s all the preparations for the Olympics. Just imagine what’ll happen when all those Americans arrive.
Two solutions: Either cut back on beer consumption or start brewing your own.

Drink the cheap stuff!! PBR or Natty light. Plus if you drink those you don’t have to worry about your friends bogarting all your brew.

Natty is about the best of the cheap beers. It is very low carb.

Tastewise, I really miss Matt’s beer from Utica. That was good cheap beer.

Sorry, I can’t drink that “Nasty Light!” I’ll just have to pay a little more. One thing about the “real” beer is that you usually drink less of it. So even though it costs more it kind of evens out. There’s a new Bud Light out called a “Chelada” style beer. Beer w/ Clamato juice, lime, and salt. Comes in a 24 oz can and it’s around two bucks in Kroger. I don’t like Bud Light, and I don’t like red eyes, but I really like this beer! Not sure why.
